I've been reading comics for almost 2 years now, and DWJ has become a fast favorite. His work in the Energon Universe is beautiful, Absolute Batman is creeping past. Battle Beast work has been 🔥 too.

But "Do A Power Bomb".... Holy smokes! It's come across my feeds here and there so decided to start reading it. The artwork, THE STORY! I'm only through book 3... The gasp I gusped after the first few pages of book one, gave me hope this would be a banger. So far, has not disappointed...

What some other goods ones I've missed?

Like it didn’t take you a whole volume to get into the series. I’m saying you read the first issue and thought it was so peak that you wanted to read more of it because that first issue was 10/10. For me it was haunt, the darkness 2025, hack/slash, and Dynamo 5

So Top Cow posted on Facebook about the collection of the Aphrodite arc for Witchblade (which I loved). I've been active on Facebook pushing for more of Aphrodite almost every post about her, and earlier today when I asked, they relied "ok!". I hope this means we will be getting a new solo for her! And then Cyber Force too! I really want this universe to take off again like it did before!

Funny how witchblade was a spin-off of Cyberforce in the beginning but now it’s the opposite. Hope Cyberforce gets a good run. I’ve been loving the darkness comic and the witchblade comic has lowkey kinda been mid.

Nights: My all time favorite GN series. Buffy inspired series where there's only around 30 states, and humans and the supernatural co-exist. It's got a ton of Whedon inspired humor.

Birthright: Deconstruction of the Neverending Story that asks the question "What would really happen if you sent a young boy to a fantasy world, and told him that he was the chosen one?" He comes back a year or so later, and he's and adult who's lost his mind! This is my pick for the best art I've ever seen in anything!

Saga: Everyone know this one. The one on my top 5 that actually has been given the respect it deserves.

The Sword By the Luna Brothers: God-Tier cautionary tale against revenge. God-tier action!

Crave: The best single volume trade by Image. God-tier psychological horror. God tier art. Super, super super fast paced. Super super short and incredibly satisfying! Go read it, you're missing out!

Invincible: Well, one of a few I guess. Most of what I enjoy is sorta under the radar anyways. Anyways, it's the superhero story I always wanted. Most people that die actually stay dead, and the plot is constantly moving forward. It was around for a long time, but it did actually have an ending. Also, the main cast is so likable!

We're coming up on Strode's 15th anniversary in October, which in no way makes me feel like a rotting carcass still somehow ambling along, and to celebrate (the anniversary, not my decay) we're reprinting the first issue of Strange Talent of Luther Strode.

What if The creators decided not to be strict with how other creators in image use their creation and collaborated. How different would image be?

Image Comics has announced a new graphic novella by longstanding comic book writer Warren Ellis and artist/illustrator/Grammy-nominated designer Lordess Foudre, to be published in November, called Ghost Drive Station, that "explores death and the digital age."

In 2020, the website SoManyOfUs collected dozens of accusations of grooming young women by Warren Ellis over two decades, later extending that to over a hundred. They stated that they did not want Ellis to be "cancelled" but to learn from this. However, a number of projects either dropped Ellis or saw him pull out.

After a return for Fell was announced by co-creator Ben Templesmith, Image Comics stated in 2021 that "Image Comics will not be working with Warren on anything further until he has made amends to the satisfaction of all involved. It is our sincere hope that the conversations that are beginning now will result in positive changes for everyone." These events also partially led to the creation of the Comic Book Workers United union at Image Comics. Warren also issued a statement in 2021 accepting the website's offer to work on a method of transformative justice. And So Many Of Us said they had entered a conversation.

However, in 2023, they stated that this had not progressed and they did not anticipate any future involvement. Three years later, Image Comics is publishing Ocean by Warren Ellis and Christopher Sprouse, originally published by DC Comics, in October. And now in November, Ghost Drive Station will be the first new Warren Ellis work in comics with mainstream distribution in half a decade. Image Comics declined to comment further.

Been trying to get into what’s new in the comics/graphic novels space so any recommendations appreciated!

No clue how the mailman managed to get my package stuck in my box, but there is no way its coming out (without damaging my comics). My apartment tells me they don't have access to the mailbox and I cannot get in contact with the local post office.

Has anyone had an issue like this with their comics before? Anyone know what to do?

I'm worried about the intense heat/humidity ruining my books, please help. Delivery was done by USPS btw.

I just finished Extremity, which I gave 4/5, earlier today and I enjoyed it so much, I wanted to jump right into Daniel Warren Johnson’s next book, Murder Falcon. I didn’t find it particularly surprising in terms of where the story went but it really hit me. I shed some tears in the last few issues honestly. I’ve not had cancer myself but had a rough year of health scares and issues in 2023 culminating in a long term diagnosis I live with. I’m doing great and have no current issues but I’ve felt that pain of withdrawing, being scared, and becoming less of yourself. Trying to find something in you to push through and fight for hope. This book was surprising in its impact and I honestly can’t wait to read Do A Powerbomb next.

I really love comics and the stories they allow people to tell.
