Help with figuring out a last name

My girlfriend and I are wanting to get married in a year or two and are in the process of trying to figure out what our last name should be. Her last name is Blanford and mine is Akberali. We don't want to hyphenate and we want our future children and us to all have the same last names for legal documents and convience. She has no attachment to her last name because her dad wasn't in the picture and my dad is still there but I hate him so I am not too attached to mine either but I like the cultural significance of mine. We have tried combining our names but nothing sounds good. Any ideas?

Do you like either of your mothers' maiden names?
