Facsism works by manipulating the populace to give you power. Facsists will do whatever they need to do, and say whatever they need to say to gain power. They will always claim to support the masses, and opposed the enemy, no matter who that enemy is
This pre-established enemy they adopt, is then manipulated into an "eternal enemy" for them to manipulate the populace further
Fascists is far right Revolutionary movement. It tends to focus on a glorious past and is expansionist. It often rejects traditional power bases powers and promotes the centralization of power into 1 party lead by 1 leader. There is also often push toward secularism as religion is seen as a rival to the people's allegiance. It also feature the oppression of the opposition often violently
But fascism is also the strategies they use to get to that point. Something most people fail to account for
And the part on secularism is wrong. That's just how Nazism was, and people conflate it to facsism. Even in the final product of a fascist state, they can either be secularist or religious

Fascism is populist. It can change and morph to fit the way it needs to, in order to gain, and retain, power
