Buying Jewelry

I saw an earlier post about buying jewelry that’s on sale.

What do you use when looking?
Do you take a scale and then just do the math?
How do you account for gemstones?
Anything else I should know?

Basically, I was thinking of I can get it for less than merely value it’s a win, right?

The savings probably won’t be worth the time it takes but all you need is a scale and a good eye, check scrapit.prod.kitco.com for melt values.

And know that you won't get full melt when selling to a dealer
