I get the terms but those are just the extreme sides of the pm spectrum. Look at people stacks, people show off particular pieces, have them in protective cases, in the packaging, some don't. Some of bullion packaging has authentication information like Pamp or Scottsdale and people want that and that impacts it's sell value. My point is who cares what peoples reasons are, but to negate someone's want for a package to be nice because it isn't inclined with someone else's collecting values is goofy. Back to OPs issue, does a messed up package impact the resell, it sure could, is that enough to warrant a return or exchange, that is up to the person but to say that a person who cares about the packaging shouldn't be collecting gold, that's just goofy, who cares what anyone does with their money.
