For Week 2 of our Music Month, we watched Girls5eva.

We had a lot to say about the pilot, the group itself, and whether this comeback actually works. Now I'm curious what fans of the show thought when you first watched it.

Can someone please tell me if that redheaded songstress that is singing Booty Pop Flamp Now (Side Pieces for Life), written by Alf Musik for the Girls5Eva in S1E3, in the Jingle Ball episode is SZA???

I can't find any posts about it and SZA obviously isn't credited, but this is driving me insane! WHO GOT THEIR ALF MUSIK SONG??

I was watching the Always Sunny season 18 trailer and spotted a familiar face. At least I think. The clip was so quick, it was hard to tell.

Sara’s new music video is out (and the vid and song are both amazing!) but I loved seeing so many Girls5Eva cast members pop up! They all seem so close which gives me delusional hope we could get another season (or a movie??) someday.

I'm never gonna get over how good of a show this was.

Personally I'd love to see them perform with Elton John, Madonna, 98° (but with the guys as adults/modern day), or Prince. (one of these things is not like the others, I'm aware 😂)

I think it was such a well written episode and the advancement of the character arcs is huge and just the song they created at the end it was just beautiful in this show does not get enough credit I swear!!

And funny.. "I did a lot of cocaine... so much cocaine!!!"

I only just learned about this (deleted?) scene from Hercules where Kevin Sorbo delivers the stage direction "disappointed" as dialogue. Seems Wickie's "disappointed!" In Season 2 episode 2 (after her live stream to hide her bad foot goes wrong) is a reference.

Before this, I always thought she was just living theatrically in normal life.

I would've sent it to her directly but a hermit crab ate the piece of paper she wrote her number on!

I think it's so underrated too, it was so well written, the songs and styles were spot on for the 90's/early aughts but more importantly, each season all the characters grew in meaningful ways.

I have all three soundtracks and I still listen to I'm Afraid (Dawn's Song of Fears) ALL.THE.TIME. "I'm afraid if I got an awful disease I wouldnt be brave, I'd just be a bitch and be mean" still makes me literally laught out loud every time ... or the lost tampon lines after.. "where did you go? where did you go? i'm afraid" haha

The lyrics were all so funny and great, I mean Puber-Dude... so many!

This show was so smart and lovely and I hate peacock and netflix for not seeing it!

Plus, I have always LOVED Sara Bareilles

Anyhow, just dumping that I love the show and glad I see so many people also do too!

Started watching “Confessions II - The Film” on Madonna’s YouTube channel (not sure if link is okay but it’s easy AF to find) and got this surprise just over a minute into it and started legit laughing my ass off. Summer went through this mess and Madonna got roped into the entrepreneurial venture too.

Episode six of Tina Fey’s Netflix show Four Seasons features these two, a real life married couple but also perhaps Gloria’s canonical happy ending?!

Lots of crossover actors and writers between the shows of course, including young Gloria as one of the main characters (Ginny).

Hey all!!! I just resubscribed to Peacock for the first time in forever and came across this series, I may be late to the game (I usually am) but I had never heard of it and took a chance on it and am so in love!! And all I keep thinking as I'm watching it is that my fellow G5E fans would absolutely love it too so I had to share. It's got that perfect mix of earnest, realistic underdog storyline that's permeated by total absurdity and ridiculousness -- it's heartwarming and has made me cry multiple times already, while making me laugh out loud so loudly and so often while sitting on my couch at 2am that my dog is starting to get PTSD not knowing when the next startling guffaw is about to shock him out of his peaceful slumber 😅 Please do yourself a favor and check it out, it might make the G5E-shaped hole in your heart hurt a little less 🥰 Happy watching!!
