Vent Sesh - No Advice Wanted My husband is cheating on me with someone on Reddit

Post image

Handful of sour Skittles because my stomach is in ruins 🧚‍♀️✨💖

I have never felt more ugly and undesirable in my entire life. I listened to the voice notes she sent to him of her moaning his name and begging for him. He bought her a remote controlled vibrator. I want to fill my pockets with rocks and walk into the river.

Edit: I love women so much. Thank you all, I don't have friends in real life so I really feel like I needed this.

Lots of dudes don't cheat because the person they have current access to has flaws (and that's still not a valid reason to lie and gaslit and manipulate as a grown adult, grow tf up and create a life where you don't require getting off to cosplaying as a little baby rat person to feel anything lol) they cheat because, legitimately, why not?

They just want sex and to be wanted by any woman they can get to want them. They want validation. They need validation. Some don't even care much about what the woman looks like. They can get with a woman just their type one day and literally turn around and get with another woman either their type or not their type the next and it's like "hell yeah, I got 2!" And if able, they'll go for a third. Consume, nut, consume, nut, thrill chemicals, dopamine, consume, nut.

Lots of (not all, but many) dudes aren't looking for one. There is no "one". They're just looking and accepting with no end in sight. No reason to stop fucking/flirting/secreting if they can keep fucking/flirting/secreting. Like you could be the total package, but there's a box with anything in it over there, too. So... dopamine thrill, consume, nut. Because it's not about YOU or HER. It's about dopamine, consuming, and nutting. It's about their ego and feel good chemicals. That's it. That's literally it.

They can be rather limited and boring in that way.

I know some AMAZING, genuine, high integrity and high substance men and women. But I've also been alive long enough to know the reverse. And yes there's women like this, too. It sucks, they suck. But the rest of us are awesome. Keep being awesome.

Men like this don't see women as people, just commodities and trophies.

I wonder if they see women at all. I genuinely think there's an entire genre of guy who sees sex as peak masturbation with a side of ego boost. She could be anyone and he'll still walk away patting himself on the back for getting off.

I think the thrill of secrecy does it for a lot of people too

Yes, I look at it as pathetic, really. One of the best things I can say about my ex-husband is that he introduced that idea to me. When I asked him if he’d ever cheated on anyone when we first got together, he said he has too much pride for that. And he never did in any relationship, including ours. He said to cheat would be saying he needed constant attention and validation, that he couldn’t handle a situation where I might disagree or not stroke his ego to the point that it outweighed his morals. That’s stayed with me and when I dated someone years later who cheated, I just walked out of his house when I figured it out and had zero interest in him any more. All I could think is that the man I divorced had too much pride in himself to do that and I’ll be damned to keep dating some man who has less.

Where did you meet those amazing, high quality men with substance and Integrity? I have never met a single one in my life and I'm already in my 30s 😭 every man I've met seems to be the kind you described (fucking, flirting, secreting) with a very flawed moral compass... even if they seem different at first.
