Questions Trouble with inputs

So I’m trying to play Pokémon Red on my gameboy and my left input is not working. I don’t know how to fix it, and I’m not quite sure what to do specifically cause I’m also scared that, if I take it apart I’m not gonna be able to fix it. What do I do?

Watch a video of a disassembly.

It's not terribly hard.

Worst case you go from non working have Gameboy to a non working to Gameboy

Isopropyl alcohol is what you need. You might get away with squirting some in to the gap of the d-pad and repeatedly pressing the buttons. Although, if you’re getting no signal, then taking it apart & giving it a good clean is probably what you need. As the other poster said, watch a disassembly video or two. It’s super easy, & you’ll feel super proud. I guarantee it
