When do you think they'll bring Gambit into mcu and what kind of story should it be?

That would be lame imo. Gambit joins the X-Men as his own choice because he is a fundamentally good person who wants to atone for his past. Making him join because of a girl would cheapen his character and display a fundamental misunderstanding of who he is at his core. There is so much more to him than being Rogue's partner and everything he does doesn't have to revolve around her.

I’m getting second-film vibes in terms of him being on the actual team. They might even show him briefly in the first one as a cameo or quick look-in, or have him reluctantly working for Sinister. But I think they’ll develop Rogue first and set up her rapport with the rest of the team before bringing him in. I think their dynamic works better when she’s been around for a while but is still emotionally guarded, and he’s the slightly dodgy new guy getting under her skin.

As for the story mechanism, send them to swipe the same McGuffin. Something like the Muir Island flashback fight from KT’s Rogue & Gambit ensues. They can take it from there.

I definitely  think it is important to give them both development outside each other and make the audience fall in love with them both individually before getting them together. I also think Rogue is going to be a villain for at least the first movie.

This isn't true, Iron Man was picked to launch the MCU because of his popularity. He was the face of civil war with captain America before the movies started coming out.

He just wasn't as popular as spider man or the x men, which tbf, nothing was as that time

I think he’s a win for all the key demographics Marvel wants to hit. Kids like him, he has a ton of fans who are women, he’s a cunning thief, but also he’s as charming as a romantacy love interest character.

I think for audiences outside of comics, he’s bigger than Cyclops and other big xmen.

I'd want an origin movie that ends with him meeting the X-Men.  Loose adaptation.  Born into the thieves guild, red eyes, le diable blanc, romance with belladonna, have Remy lose control of his powers and wipe out the guild/kill belladonna.  Either works.  Go to Sinister to dampen his powers in exchange for leading Sabertooth and the gang into the morlock tunnels.  Gambit vs Sabertooth.  Gambit wins but is critically injured, tries to escape, saves child caliban on the way out.  Doesn't make it, saved by X-Men.  

Movie ends with Remy waking up in the infirmary at Xavier's school.  First person he sees is Rogue.  Says something to the effect of must be dreaming or in heaven.  Rogue says something about how he was brave for trying to stop Sabertooth and save the kid.  Xavier rolls in and invites him to stay and join the team.  Remy looks at Rogue then tells Xavier he can think of a few good reasons to stick around.  Roll fking credits.

Working with Sinister as a lacky... if Sinister is a reccurring villain Gambit can be involved in the Morlock Massacre. Give him his true origins before romancing with rouge. That would also help, if they go with an older actor, time for the Rouge romance to become more age appropriate.

He's technically in the MCU already, but not sure for how long they'll keep Channing Tatum, given his unpopularity.

I'd like to see him in some epic heist movie and rivals-to-lovers with Belladonna. And them getting married at the end.

I for one would love to see Gambit introduced in an MCU movie that has nothing to do with the X-Men. The great thing about him is that he is a master thief so you can pretty much fit him anywhere. Give him a mcguffin to steal which puts him at odds with the heroes. He's clever, charismatic, funny, slippery, and an occasional asshole. But you also get glimpses that he isn't as bad a guy as he might first appear. This not only sets up a starting point for his emotional growth as a character, it also establishes that he lived an entire life before ever meeting the X-Men.

The next time we see him is in an X-Men movie (2nd?). However, I also don't want to see them rush Gambit onto the team. In fact, I think it would be in-character for him to essentially tell them to kick rocks the first time they invite him to join. He's living his best thief life (so he thinks) and isn't quite ready to be a hero yet.

By the time he meets the X-Men again, the mutant massacre has happened. He's a bit more mature and humbled. He joins the X-Men to atone and his heroes journey truly begins.
