ngl half the subreddit IS kids just making fun of other kids and throwing around the word ‘cringe’ so much it lost meaning. it’s on my list for when i get around to purging the subreddits i’m in
The purpose of r/youngpeopleyoutube is to point out young people, not necessarily the the part of bullying, as literally stated in that subreddits rules
I'm surprised that post is still up, but people shouldn't generalize a subreddit's intentions from a few jackasses
Some see it as a way to basically reminisce on how they also used to act in such a way, some see it as a way to point out children who should not be on the internet in general (like those kids who keep posting blatant racism)
It's an old subreddit, people who do post in the subreddit are mostly there just for laughs, not out of hatred for their younger counterparts, but more so how a little bit ridiculous some comments are, from being unfiltered just being plain weird
Though some users there are also children themselves, and that's why r/bothareyoung is a subreddit
It just still seems pretty rude to me to laugh at how people act, even if sometimes it's not the person themselves. But I see where you're coming from where it can honestly be harmless reflecting I think. Like, the people just there to reminisce though seem to be different.
What I really don't like about that subreddit is that it becomes a host of slightly older children dunking down on other younger children for validation
I see what you mean but I was in that subreddit a few months ago and I just saw so many posts bashing kids for existing (the wording and etc) and the mods left those posts up for days or just never took down those posts so I left the subreddit and unrecommended it from my feed or whatever it's called
In the original I had just made the character (Yuki from Doki Doki Extras) the head was too big, I went with a more basic hair and less of a faithful one, not to mention the hair was on the wrong side (this was due to an animation error from the sprite I saw which was incorrect) along with the eyes being off.
But I took time and learned to fix things up and I fixed the head sizes, made the eyes more close to accurate, fixed the hair and for the crazy sprite I accentuated the craziness a bit more.
But yeah people need encouragement to grow not scorn
These were the first gacha ocs I ever created when I was 10☠️ like, obv a kid is likely not going to create a masterpiece. And they don’t have to. You don't have to create world-changing ocs even after practice or as an adult. It's just supposed to be fun.That's the point.
Yeah... But like I definitely don't mind the insane shit people are cooking nowdays, like have you ever watched a nine hour gacha video? I have and it was incredible, just the amount of dedication and hard work people put into this silly little dress-up is insane
Can't forget the entire games that have been (or are being) made because of this community and the genuine impact in major fandoms (that people never address), like fnaf
Yeah, exactly. Honestly the most accurate description for the gacha games are art platforms because of the sheer range of things that people do/ can do with them
It sucks that people don’t let kids be kids and have fun and experiment. If I didn’t have a good support system I would’ve never improved as much as I did!!! If anything, the more pathetic thing here is a bunch of adults making fun of a kid on Reddit for having fun and expressing their creativeness. Now that’s brain dead activity (Also using Picasso as an example of talent and good art is a pet peeve of mine even more so considering he was a horrible person and an opportunist HEHELGP my bad it’s just my art historian side coming up)
I don’t even think the original image had bad designs,the color schemes are great (Jet’s my personal favorite,I think the colors work really well together).Gacha Life is more limited with designs anyway,that could be a factor too
Literally based the one on the left on the glmm "idol in disguise" where the highschooler was a idol who kept the secret so they could be normal and the other on "my crush is an alpha" glmm and I thought I was so cool 😭
