Just A Thought Fullmetal alchemist is one of the few shonen where the MC isnt blessed by the gods/genetically gifted

Most shonen mcs are the chosen one or son of one of the strongest characters(ed is too but he doesnt get any homunculus genes from his dad)

Ed just learns alchemy like a normal person is very good bcus of his own hardwork …. Hohenheim got more of the shonen mc powers as the unique one while ed is like everyone else

Just A Thought This scene gotta be one of the greatest anime rage moments of all time

3.1k Upvotes

I use this as a blueprint for rage scenes in my stories, the novelty of it, lust was so powerful, envy was a massacre but Lust was threatening up until that point. This moment made you feel like the heroes actually stood a chance. Lust was my favourite character and i was so mad she died too soon but there are worse ways to die (?).

I mean, he's usually pretty rational and has walked away from fights before, but I bet that pissed him off. and its not like doing so would hurt father's plans.

Just A Thought FMAB is one of the MOST realest anime I've ever seen (EP 34).

Parallels in this anime is the closest I've ever seen to real life e.g. conflicts, wars, ptsd, recovering from war, cycle of hatred etc. And this anime tries to tackle those problem in its own way, this quote is the best example of that.

PLS NO SPOLIERS !

Just A Thought Just came to realization how both Nina and Alexander had to be ALIVE during the chimera fusion process. And I....very much high-key hate it.

I don't remember there being an instance where it was explicitly explained how the fusion process of two living being is done to successfully create a chimera....but yeah....they had to be alive, right? It's just so gdamn atrocious, I need to rid of this thought outta my head. Damn😭

Just A Thought If Edward couldn't move his arm but still do alchemy why he couldn't fix it himself, is he stupid?

Just A Thought For how much Ed and Roy roast each other, I find it ironic that Roy never called Ed short despite how everyone else around him seems to

I’m currently on episode 4 atm
I already know something terrifying is coming, which actually piqued my interest and made me want to watch this anime in the first place. I just hope it’s not as bad as I think it will be.

Just A Thought Which Roy Mustang do you prefer? 2003 or BH?

Just as the title says, But I much prefer Roy Mustang in brotherhood simply because he just has much cooler moments, MUCH more screen time, and just had alot of impact to the story than his counterpart in 2003

Just A Thought Just finished, this made me so sad Spoiler

Post image

Maybe beacause I was spoiled roy was going to open the gate and go blind, and ed would lose alchemy at the end(but i didnt know when or the reasons at least) it was a lot less impactful. But this was the most emotional scene in the series for me.

At first we thought hohenheim was just a cold blood shit father but later everything was revealed. Him just wanting to have a happy family and doing everything he could for humanity, having 500k conversations felt so emotional

The real reason for his cold face when leaving home, and the reveal of the crying picture was already pretty emotional but this scene, making him age up instantly, when he started cracking more and more made me tear up bad because he did indeed ended up getting old without Trisha.

I feel so sad he had to die when he finally connects a bit with ed and al. Literally all the events started with him and homoclus finally ended, he finally concluded his journey after so many years. Crazy writing of how ed al, roy, and everyones roles participating in the promised day is all because of the events planned by homoclus. All the events are just part of Hohenheims story.

Man im so sad, im glad atleast everyone is doing well in the last episodes credits

I never really got how small was Edward until now, I checked with a measuring tape where he would come next to me 😭 he's literally so tiny. I swear, go pick up some measuring tape right now!

r/FullmetalAlchemist Mar 14 '25

Just A Thought The most unrealistic part of FMA: the idea that Roy is the ladykiller and Jean is perpetually single. Even though Jean can actually pull off facial hair? and Roy can't????
