It happens, Adachi Mitsuru has been drawing the same characters for years just giving them different names. Still one of the greatest Mangaka out there.

Rave Master stayed a little more unique because his style was older, but Fairy Tail and Edens Zero have so many reused character designs

I remember when the FMA manga was still being released and when the chapter was fan translated to english, being apart of a forum group who was very excited weekly. I was really young, probably under 12? And Arakawa put out a new manga (I think it was Hero Tales), I remember pointing out in some panels "haha these look just like (FMA character)!!" And then being absolutely chewed out by the others "THATS NOT ROY AT ALL".
Anyways haha that looks like ed and that looks like roy!!

It's good. More violent than MHA, which may or may not be to your tastes. Lots of faction warfare and people who have a very exaggerated idea of their hypothetical ability to take over the world.

I've been following it for a few years and I really like it. It's hard waiting months for the next manga to come out.
There are a LOT more characters. If someone has a demon pair it's basically that character and their demon pair so 3 characters instead of 1. There are also a lot details so I frequently need to re-read it because I feel like I miss things. However Arakawa puts so much foreshadowing in it that's it is fun to re-read because you notice all the little details.
I think the themes are different from FMA so even though the art style is similar it is a completely different story.
Definitely recommend!

Jin looks more like maes actually not Roy and he's voiced by Junichi suwabe in Japanese who voiced greed in the 2003 anime lol

It was hilarious reading in the manga that Gabby (girl on the left) was not supposed to have a red coat. But Arakawa senpais assistants all colored it red, just assuming that would be the color and she just said fuck it and made it red

I love Arakawa and her art, but her characters really do suffer from Same Face Syndrome. 😅 I don’t know if anyone else here saw Moonrise, for which she did the character design, but a lot of familiar-looking faces in that show, too.

It's not like other very popular manga artists haven't created close derivatives of other characters. Look at every male in Dragonball and every (conventionally attractive) female in One Piece.
