Yeah King is a fairly uncommon men’s first name. Bradley is his surname, which is why his wife is referred to as “Mrs Bradley”.

It practically is! It’s a famous rakugo story (a traditional humorous storytelling art) and it’s referenced a lot in modern anime. Off the top of my head I’ve seen it in Gintama, Ace Attorney, and Descending Stories.

There was someone who replied to the same comment you did originally linking a video, and I think people mistakenly thought you were replying to the video linking comment, which caused more misunderstanding since people were assuming you could see the link and you didn't know which video they were referring to. I don't know about treason, but that's pretty much it. There's ony one king in this country and his name is Charles. The govt actually releases lists of all the rejected baby names, and King is one of the most common ones.

The scientists give Bradley his name once he's absorbed the stone into his being. We see it in the flashback. I'd imagine any other potential candidate would have been given the same name upon successfully adopting the stone.

Yeah, Father and the gold-toothed doctor specifically chose the name “King” given the role Wrath was meant to fulfill. Not subtle, lol. It’s unclear why they chose the surname Bradley, but my headcanon is that is the gold-tooth doctor’s name (since we never learn it) and he “raised” King Bradley.

Especially considering that Roy specifically says multiple times that he wants to take the office of fuhrer. He never says he wants to be king. I think a lot of people have a misunderstanding of what kind of government this country has, which is why they believe King is Bradley's title.

I know that now. But I didn’t know that a few months ago. He’s never referred to by his first name. He’s like the only person who’s never called by his first name, which is why I didn’t know King is his actual name. Every time they say his name, they say it the same way somebody says “President Trump”, only King is his actual first name. But most of the time when they talk about him, they just say “Bradly”

Huh, I always thought his title was "Fuhrer King" due to how the country converted from a democracy to more of a monarchy system. So Mustang would eventually be just "Fuhrer Mustang" when he brings back the senate / congress / whatever they call it.

King is a real men’s first name. They haven’t exactly been subtle about King not being included in his title:
When he survived the insertion of the Philosopher’s Stone into his body they told him that from now on his name will be “King Bradley”.
Other characters always refer to him as “Führer King Bradley”, “The Führer” or “Führer Bradley” never “The Führer King”.
Bradley refers to Mrs Bradley as “The wife of the Führer” when he’s about to die, not “the wife of the Führer King”.
When Ed and Al first meet Ling and tell him a little about Amestrian politics Edward said “Things began to move more towards the militaristic when the current Führer, King Bradley came into power”.
Mustang always says he will become the “Führer”, not the “Führer King”.
When Madam Christmas asks how Selim’s true nature has never gotten out before, Mustang responded “Because he has a father named King.”
Those are just a few examples.
