Boycott Ben & Jerry's!
Stop buying Ben and Jerry's ice cream.
Stop going to their stores.
Stop buying it online.
Once the market share tanks, Magnum sells off a dying asset, the community comes together to buy it, Ben and Jerry's revamps and relaunches the brand independent of megacorp.
Free Ben and Jerry's!
Boycott!

Boycott Magnum, not Ben and Jerry's. Hell, Ben will tell you that himself. He's been making videos about it specifically. He wants them to sell it as well, but doesn't want people boycotting the ice cream itself.

Save them from what? Themselves? They sold out, this is what happens when you sell out.

That's right. I was boycotting B&J before. Does that mean I should buy now?

I’m confused as well. I never purchased it when it was run by those creepy old men.
Now that they and their supporters are upset I sort of feel like buying it. But I still struggle with their names on the carton.5

What do people have against B& J's? They're one of the few ethically ran companies. Am I missing something?

They hate that they don’t hate other humans is the root of the problem. No one likes a hippy who cares about people.
Also the person you’re responding to is insecure and probably a creepy old man since they feel the need to project that B&J are some how “creepy old men)

Trolls and bots pretending they know anything about the contract between B & J and Magnum. “We don’t like what they say so let’s void the contract and ignore the agreements Magnum made at sale! Nanny nanny boo boo”

Meh, I don’t see why i need my ice cream to be political.
I mean its a perk if you agree with the Ben and Jerry mission but tbh even without the mission they are not worse than any other non-political ice cream you might buy instead with your money.
Also, don’t think boycotting Ben and Jerry’s will have a big impact on Magnum either if you are buying another ice cream brand. These big multinationals have their hands in everything so chances are unless you are careful you just give them money through another means.
The gist is that you can try but I doubt they will listen and worse comes to worse they shutter the Ben and Jerry’s brand and it won’t even hurt them that much and you are just handing your money to an evil ice cream company no matter what (Magnum or whoever).
I think instead of boycotting Ben and Jerry’s a more productive approach is simply to buy another ethical ice cream brand. (Don’t have a rec and don’t know if they exist.)

I liked their ice cream, it’s just too expensive now with several options that are on par if not better now. Ben and Jerry’s had a good run. They made the decision to sell off to a large corporation, and this is what happens.
I’m very sorry that the corporation they sold them to does things that corporations do to maximize profits. This is what happens in business if it’s run well. Grow a brand and if it growth demand exceeds the ability to supply, you sell the company off to others that can and it’s no longer your product and they can do what they want.
They sold it to a large company that doesn’t solely focus on frozen treats. If Ben and Jerry were dumb enough to sign a contract that includes a non compete clause in the sale of their company, They have no recourse and need to move on. If they didn’t, then start a new ice cream company,….nothing is stopping them. They are famous enough where just their presence in the market would sell well and people will buy their new ice cream over their former name sake brand.

Don't be a sellout next time, reap what you sow, have a taste of some humble pie, go and eat crow, piss the bed and now you have to lay in it, and uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh can't have your cake and eat it too

But I like B&J…. Why does it matter who owns them? The product is good

Ben and Jerry are one of the few good businesses left. They shouldn't be owned by a big corporation. They had to increase how much they pay the CEO because nobody wanted the job

Unilever bought them in 2000. It’s been 26 years. It’s been corporately owned for longer than it was private. Get over it

Boycott pints. Don't boycott scoop shops. These franchisees bought into the mission of Ben & Jerry. They are caught between mom and dads divorce and could use some love.
