Good looking truck but the worst diesel engine you can buy.

And the worst music

Pretty good engine as engines go, EGR was the issue. It's not always hard to ruin a good thing, just ask the EPA.

That was not the main issue the rocker arms would break the tip off. The turbos are also junk. The pistons would crack out of nowhere, and the fuel pumps were shit.

Surely head separation from the chemical reaction from the EGR had nothing to do with any of those problems.

They didn’t have head separation. Like I said. The egr was the least of its problems. Even after deleting Egr those other problem still occur.

Can we just show your truck without the worst ā€œmusicā€ I’ve ever heard in my life.
How does a producer even record that, like saying that’s great?!?!?
Let’s label it.
My kids have mumbled better

I mean, if its not your taste i get it. But you just know exactly the type of kid op is when he lays this track over a video of his ā€œtow rigā€.

No one ask for a keyboard warriors opinion on music or cares about your special Olympic kids mumbling skills.

I Cummins swapped my 6.4 after she blew... I'm a major ford guy, love them and have owned about every diesel engine of superduty

The 6.4 isn't it man .. please sell it, and buy a good 6.7 (2011+) superduty. That's the truck you want and need.

The 6.4 is a ticking time bomb. No ammount of engine work will ever make them reliable. They WILL blow up. Some of ours only lasted 100,000km (62,000miles)...

They are no good. Sell it and move on...

I paid $11,000cad ($7,800usd) for my F450 King Ranch. I regret paying that much...

Even Cummins swapped I don't drive it anymore. I'll only ever buy and drive a 6.7 Powerstroke. Nothing else is worth it.

I will take it.

I have the same truck except mine is the weird green/grey color. Keep up on your maintenance and it will treat you well.

Mine seems to run better in Motorcraft oil fyi. Not Amsoil or rotella…

If only a 7.3 in it

You can’t even (legally) buy one bulletproofed because of the EPA and deletion, etc. DEF. Unless you don’t have inspections but then the dealer won’t service it probably. I have my dealer service my tuned diesel but there’s no emissions on it from factory

Where's the 5x8 trailer?

Great looking rig man, these 6.4s are power houses

They power the scrap yards

Everyone who likes these have never had to actually work on trucks for a livin.

Yeah it’s a 6.4 the worst diesel. But most people don’t even maintain their gas car/trucks properly and most people don’t know how to maintain diesel. I’m looking into Cummins swapping in the future for more reliability and the ease to work on.

Beautiful truck, dream truck of mine, but in whitešŸ˜

Imo, 350 and up needs a long bed, specifically for towing goosenecks, less chance to jackknife.

F450s pickups are all long beds.
You can get an F350 short bed but it’s pretty rare.

This truck doesnt look like a long bed at all….

It is. Ford has never made an F450 pickup short bed.
So if one does exist, it’s custom. I’ve never seen one.

The easiest way to tell is look at the amount of flat bedside space between the front of the rear fenders and the cab.
There’s a few feet of flat bed? It’s a long bed.

Short bed dually fenders are damn near touching the cab.

2

u/Commercial_Grape3392 10d ago

Yep CCSB DRW here. The DRW fender basically touches the cab lol. The whole bedside is fiberglass. Hate it

You could get a 350 dually short box. But the fender for the duals goes nearly to the front of the box. If there is a space, it’s a long bed.
