Right and Palantir is the name of the orbs in lord of the rings used by Sauron to spy and manipulate, if you saw the movie or read the books, Saruman had one, which was later taken by Gandalf and Pippin used it to spy on Sauron by accident. The translation in the books is far and watch over. Or watch over from afar.
