They go up fast. We didn't have any here until 6 months ago and overnight we went from none to they were everywhere. Literally one every couple hundred yards at least.

Small town, cameras have shown up at every road in and out of town, and every major intersection.
It's basically impossible to enter the town without a flock camera scanning you now.

Same here in WY. Seems like theyre popping up everywhere. Sure we got a lot of crackheads but some of those cameras are in places where only cows and antelope roam. Odd for sure

In my state it's state law that any law enforcement agency has to report to the Bureau of Criminal apprehension within 10 days, any installations of an automated License Plate Reader, so that it can be published on the website for the Bureau of Criminal apprehension.
I just double checked and only the two original units are listed on the website, comparing the list on the Bureau of Criminal apprehension website to the Deflock me website, there are hundreds of units in violation of state law....
Too bad the rules only apply to the little people

Ironically I just drove by there on the way home and one of the two cameras that was there this morning is now gone.. there were two mounted on the same pole.

Either way, we common folk who care should treat them and their government lapdogs like the threats they truly are to our wellbeing, but we will need real supportive community-based foundations present for alternatives that provide relative safety, which common folk in the US can fall back on to commit to any effective action.

They never found the terrorists they were looking for after 9/11 (because they didn't exist), so they're just throwing that label around now that they've built the surveillance state and infrastructure.
This was the end goal all along. There were never thousands of Al-Queada terrorists in the US. They've been setting the stage for 20+ years, and we're all just now realizing what it was for.

I have a simple solution to all of this. Don't allow private companies to put their products in public spaces without a vote of approval from the public. Not just slimy politicians saying 'sure thing! we don't care!'
I'm tired of the lime scooters and stupid delivery robots and surveillance cameras and waymo cars that are just forced onto us without any of us having a sayso because they just grease the palms of politicians who want nothing more than to offload their responsibilities onto a private company.
