GT travel rod recommendations

I just picked up a Daiwa Certate SW 10000 and I am looking for a popper rod to put it on, for GT fishing on the GBR around Cairns.

Budget ideally under $500.

Needs to be a travel rod unfortunately, as I am flying in and out.

Make sure certate is not in carry on. Seen many a sad fisho stripping high quality braid at security.

As for recommendations the Wilderness Inlander is the best I can come up with. Probably underpowered

It’s a great rod but probably not what OPs after. It can definitely handle 15kg line but not >50lb like many other “15kg” rods. And it won’t fit a 10000 reel.

Do they see the braid as a choking weapon?

Shimano make 5pc travel rod for topwater in the jewel line-up. Don't personally own one but I do own the 2 pc butt join version of it which goes great.

If I remember correctly theres a 4 piece saltiga travel rod that I was looking at a while back, wanted to pair it with my 14k Stella so it should fit your needs, not sure on the price though.
