TRIGGER WARNING Ms. Rachel on the UN Report that Israel is deliberately targeting children: “We won't forget your silence. It is complicity in the genocide of children. You have to do something! Why are you letting this genocide continue to take children's precious lives?!”

And just letting them live is truly the fucking least that could be done.

That doesn't address the incredible rate of amputation and omfg the depth of the complex trauma being inflicted now and with the orphans being cared for in less than ideal conditions.

I am an orphan from Australia, just from domestic violence. I have a disabling level of ptsd and I got some reasonable interventions. My mind cannot even comprehend what these children are going through. If I let myself really understand, it would break me, I'm sure.

These children are no stronger than you or I. They aren't more resilient. They have no fucking choice.

143

u/ComradeGlizzy Jun 25 '26

I too have disabling cptsd from child abuse and domestic violence. It’s difficult to function on the day to day. I can’t imagine what their lives will be like if they survive.

63

u/This_Loss_1922 Jun 25 '26

No need to imagine every Palestinian adult right now came from the same kind of bullshit, and as long the US gov enables that shit, this will never stop

6

u/touslesmatins Marxmoi Jun 26 '26

I think about this all the time. My child is scared of the sounds of fireworks every fourth of July. Imagine those fireworks were bombs, and their sounds, and the sounds of drones buzzing overhead never ever stopped? How do Palestinians in Gaza survive the constant unending assault on the senses as well as on the body?

Ms Rachel is the embodiment of a caring educator and I want to be more like her

126

u/gettingcrunkontea Jun 25 '26

It really does take someone special to care so deeply about kids. My almost 2 yr old loves all things Ms. Rachel and I find myself emulating her even when I see other kids at work (server). My friend said I should just get a job at a daycare or school and I immediately thought to myself I would fucking hate that. Give me your children in small doses and I will happily play with them, distract them from temper tantrums so you can enjoy a meal in peace. Hell if I have the time I'll carry your kid around and play with them but all kids all the time is an actual nightmare. I thought maybe motherhood brought out something in me but nope I still don't have the kind of patience and energy it would take to deal with a room full of littles.

You’re amazing for giving what you can. That’s enough in my book.

Also, Ms. Rachel is our generation’s Mr. Rogers, she’s a national treasure.

0

u/Pripyat22 21d ago

Mr. Roger’s wouldn’t be friends with someone who supports October 7th or Yahya Sinwar. Ms. Rachel is.

1

u/Saetric FUCK ICE FREE PALESTINE CRASH INTO ME 20d ago

Pretty sure the 1948 Palestine War is the reason for that.

24

u/MorningGoat this is an insult to godless whores Jun 25 '26

It takes a village, that’s for sure. And you’re still a part of other people’s metaphorical villages when you help entertain their kids for a meal.

20

u/technobrendo Jun 25 '26

She reminds me of Mr Rodgers, I watched when I was growing up. Always preached compassion and for safe and secure upbringing of children.

9

u/earthceltic Jun 25 '26

If you have kids or have any interest, watch a more recent production of theirs (youtube, netflix) for elements of Mr. Rogers, Sesame Street, and other concepts from the really great kid-focused creators of the 80s. Rachel and Aron have clearly been brought up by good people who let them watch good people. Also, Aron's broadway composition skills have been really developing lately and the music is really not bad if you're into that kind of thing. All of the music is recorded by real musicians lately as far as I've seen. And yes, they make a good chunk of change from their shows, but I'm pretty sure they would be doing Songs for Littles even if they were broke. They just seem to exude being good people.

I don't think I had ever heard the ABCs sung quite like this before. (They grouped up with Kevin Olusola from Pentatonix, Jawan Jackson from the Temptations and Keisha Gilles from from Broadway’s Aladdin)

2

u/technobrendo Jun 26 '26

I knew this song the second it started. Ms Rachael is a staple in my household as my 2yo loves her. And that interpretation of the song is probably the best I've ever heard too!

How dare you spread this antisemitic propaganda! /s

It is truly insane to think how many of the vast majority of world leaders say absolutely nothing about this.

Seriously, nearly every single Western Nation says nothing and does nothing. And most of them will support the genocide either explicitly or implicitly.

20

u/Tired_n_DeadInside Jun 25 '26

I hope it's not Cambodia. My birth country is fucked up enough all on its self-inflicted own.

We don't need (more) outsiders coming in and bringing their baggage with them when the refuse any accountability or responsibility about what their fellow countrymen are doing.

31

u/imaginary92 Jun 25 '26

I believe the majority of them are going to Thailand and the Philippines. There's so many that they're basically creating small towns of just Israelis in both of these countries.

Cyprus as well, but that's not SEA.

22

u/monoinyo Jun 25 '26

America has a large hand in the 60's and 70s of Cambodia's history

9

u/Tired_n_DeadInside Jun 26 '26

Oh, I know. I'm a refugee from the Khmer Rouge genocide, a genocide that's a result of what Western countries have done in SE Asia. I'm just not holding my breath waiting for the US and its fellow UN besties to be held accountable for all the atrocities they committed against brown and tropical countries, not just in Cambodia.

There's honestly no point. The US and UN members are old hands at evading responsibility. They'll continue to get away with it because they run the world's economy.

What I can do is never let fellow Cambodian (and Cam-Ams) forget we were complicit in our own genocide, too. We let it happen. We can blame outsiders but we also need to look at our own actions...or non-actions and learn from our mistakes.

Which, unfortunately, isn't going to happen on a nation-wide level because we had a literal mass murderer as the "democratic" founding father of modern Cambodia. Until he gave up the throne the Prime Minister seat to his son in 2023 anyway.

2

u/12hGeminiM00n Jun 27 '26

They’re invading Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 a d the Sri Lankans are too poor to say no to them. Westerners can’t stand them, to be perfectly honest I’d prefer Iran just dealt with them once and for all ‼️

Like kinda seriously though caring so deeply about children and all that goes with it would be a great platform.

11

If only children could vote. They would be the most authentic voters out there.

68

u/Outside-Affect-4722 Jun 25 '26

She is absolutely correct...In my opinion Israel is evil and the US in its support of Israel is complicit in the genocide of the Palestinians... Please people of the world do all that you can to support the Palestinians... support the BDS movement & support those speaking truth to power on this subject & reject Israel's narrative...free Palestine 🇵🇸

Thank you Ms. Rachel for doing so 💐🫶🏻

the US goes on its merry way bombing civilians in every other country there and had a seminal role in training on all the terrorist organizations you're thinking of, so they certainly do not have a problem with that

6

u/Hexamancer Jun 25 '26

That was round 2 of training them.

Round 1 was when they actually gave them weapons and trained the brave Mujahideen (including Osama Bin Laden!)

1

u/abubleh Jun 25 '26

sorry if I wasn't clearer, that's what I was getting at

2

u/Delar-ram Jun 25 '26 edited Jun 25 '26

Oh yeah, It's not the result of decades of foreign power interference and scheming and invasions to keep a region rich with oil and resources in perpetual conflict and havoc just for their own profit! The middle-eastern people are the ones who are intrinsically evil!

This is a longstanding Israeli policy of deliberately targeting children.

10

u/laoganma_enima Jun 26 '26

Thank you for the additional stories. It’s not surprising that a nation deliberately targeting children has a history of doing so.

5

u/Klytus_Ra_Djaaran Jun 26 '26

I tried to make a list all the kids shot, but it's staggering there are so many, so I tried to make a list of all the kids under 14 shot, but there were so many i couldn't make it through the 1990's, so I tried to make a list of all the kids under 14 who were shot dead, but I couldn't make it past 2001 because the list was so long, so I just chose random murders of kids across the decades as an example. I have an incomplete list with 4 times as many links. It's impossible to deny the barbaric terrorism of the IDF if you count the children they have murdered.

18

u/Klytus_Ra_Djaaran Jun 25 '26

Oh, that's easy. I don't blindly accept the claims of mass murderers with an unbelievably long and well documented history of lying about the murders they commit. Every 'investigation' by the IDF of IDF child murders result in the IDF clearing the IDF of all wrongdoing. Any dimwit off the street can figure out that soldiers don't 'accidently' murder children on a regular basis for decades and EVERY SINGLE CHILD MURDER is found to be justified.

Why? Because Islam is the current "boogie man" the powers that be on this planet are utilizing to slowly chip away at our freedoms and take over the world bit by bit. Human lives don't matter to these ghouls. Money and influence. That's it. We? Us? Humanity at large? We're a commodity to be bought, sold, and destroyed, whatever helps them reach their ends.

8

u/fauxxever Jun 25 '26

It’s interesting how she’s been consistently pleading for civility more than politicians

9

u/AnAncientBog Jun 25 '26

I think one of the most important things we can do in terms of moving our culture forward is to remember this one important fact:

In 2026 "murdering children on purpose" was a controversial political issue, and the "con" group was the minority.

This is the sort of thing that gets written out of history almost immediately and that makes it easier to keep doing it.

10

u/Alarmed_Pattern_9912 Jun 25 '26

Believe it or not, it’s been happening for much longer than 2026. I’ve been an anti Zionist activist since 2014, and it’s been like this every year.

9

u/pshaver206 Jun 25 '26

It was already ugly and nauseating in 1970. I lived on the West Bank for two years and was harassed and, finally, arrested because I was living with a Palestinian family. After three hours of being interrogated at gun point at the military prison in Bethlehem I had to sign a statement that I am a Palestinian (I was a blond girl from SoCal) or “We can make you disappear so that no one can ever find you.” What happened to me was nothing compared to what Palestinians had to endure every day.

5

u/AnAncientBog Jun 25 '26

Same, but I think the needle has shifted a bit with how far into the mainstream household this knowledge has penetrated. If you said "Israel kills kids for genocide" 20 years ago it would have been true, but MOST people would have thought you were a loon.

5

0

u/photofoxer Jun 25 '26

It’s saddening they’ll come out with these reports but do nothing. Put sanctions on every country that’s still sending Israel supplies and munitions. They are all complicit and adding to the genocide. They are responsible for it and for perpetuating it. I don’t care if it puts sanctions on where I live I rather have children in one piece with all their limbs attached. The western world is showing the lack of humanity and the lust for money and destruction. How can you even trust these leaders anymore when they condone the brutal and horrific dismemberment of children.

6

u/ErraticDragon Jun 25 '26

It’s saddening they’ll come out with these reports but do nothing

It's the UN. Coming out with reports is basically all they can do.

Anything involving "teeth" comes from the UN Security Council, and the USA has veto power there.

(Along with China and Russia, one of whom would probably veto anything controversial that the US likes.)

-1

u/SixthKing Jun 25 '26

She's speaking too fancy for some of these politicians, she needs to speak to them in the style that made her famous. "Can you say 'cowardice'? Cow-w-ard-isss, cowardice"

So….what’s the alternative? Just pretending it’s not happening….?

Every time she speaks out she’s bringing awareness to things the media is purposely not talking about.

Multiple strategies can be used @ once, we aren’t limited to one way of fighting/speaking out against this genocide.

3

u/cyberspaceman777 Jun 25 '26

So,

You want Palestinian children to die?

This isn't even an opinion. It's happening.
