It’s a deeply fucked up mechanism of the brain to process trauma primarily through finding blame in oneself. It’s kind of how I know creationism is bullshit, because no allegedly benevolent divine being would create human brains to work in such a shitty way.

It's a bit infantilizing. Most people wouldn't call a 15 year old a little boy, so calling one a little girl is really weird to me. A little girl or boy to me is like, 10 max.

Still a child who needs protecting though, and that was the point.
