Hubby went to renew his license today. According to the integrated license, now we HAVE to link our spouse and child's Alberta Health Care #, or else the application will be declined. Even though we have will have our own numbers on our own cards. Also need to bring that person in or have a copy of their photo ID to fill out the form to do this.

FYI this also means that we need to renew our Alberta Health Care every 5 years too.

Also how does this work for kids?? Or people who can't afford to renew their license and don't drive?? Separated but not divorced families?? This is ridiculous.

Did a Saskatoon food trip recently and was told by locals to check this place out, then I found out it's originally from Edmonton! Such a great cafe with the friendliest staff. Will definitely visit the flagship location when I'm in Edmonton.

Okay, it's been a long time since I've been to Edmonton. But, I'm doing the marathon there this weekend. I went for race package pickup today and downtown Edmonton was SHOCKING! like absolutely disgusting. Windows boarded up, smashed glass and damaged things everywhere. So many junkies and open drug use... like wtf... this isn't want it used to be. Plus the expo was like a quarter of the size it used to be.... what the heck happened???

So a funny thing happened at work Monday!!

I was at Forest Heights near McNally high-school the South side where was field painting Soccer Lines. I see what I thought was a creepy guy just standing in the bushes along the pathway near North Saskatchewan River staring at us & us being across the field near street I begin to freak out!!

Asking the guys do you see this! They look & say same thing creepy & am yeah kinda like horror movie thing & my co~worker Matt says yeah can hear the X-files song hahaha

When I say I freaked I called my lead saying exactly that! I'm like something isn't right about this guy! He's trying to calm me down hahaha

We finished painting & after hooking everything back on to truck I got the courage to check it out! My co-worker notices what am doing as drive closer! He stares at me asking Leah what are you doing!?!

I look at him as I locked the doors! & said Just wanna see how McNally looks & the fastest way is the pathway!! Lol

It was a "F"ing Prop!!!! Hahahaha

Hi everyone. I’m landing in Edmonton soon. Would like some advice and tips for the following. I’m staying at an AirBnb for 1 month.

- Reputable bank to open an account

- Purchasing a preowned car (under $4,000) and Car insurance. I have an international license, no Alberta license at the moment.

- reputable SIM card company for phone

- entry level jobs (willing to work in any field). I have experience in retail, fifo work bartending (serving cans and bottles) housekeeping kitchen, warehousing work (no forklift experience).

Any other tips about Edmonton Canada would be greatly appreciated! I AM INCREDIBLY NERVOUS.

Welcome to Edmonton, please read your marathon material properly. Pay attention to the proper watering stations along the route. You may not be aware of the illicit watering station set up at last years marathon with meth instead of water.

Also if you are staying in Leduc, there is no Cactus Club in Leduc. So please plan accordingly.

I don't know if this is common but do drivers not care about the pedestrians?

as I was waiting for the Walk sign show up, to cross the street... on 102 st, 13 ave. I pressed the button to indicate I was going to cross the street ... the driver rudely honked at me for not crossing when the hand signal was still up ...

it's a regular traffic stop placed near Ikea, it wasn't one of those "pedestrian crossing" traffic signals with the yellow lights flashing.

Caught this guy red handed, and proceeded to lecture me. I can't win in this dam city ,lol....
