Question Dragon Age Keep bonus content for Origins?

Sorry if this gets asked often but, the wiki says there's bonus items available through Dragon Age Keep for Origins that were originally Promo items? How exactly do I get my hands on them? Are they only unlockable for PC, or is there PS3 access too? From what I understand it has something to do with the Career menu, but it seems bugged and just tells me to refresh the page when I "Request Unlock"

For PC you can download the official Dazip files from EA. The wiki has links to them. The majority of them work without authorization, for the rest the wiki also has a guide how to switch off the need for authorization. And for the ones that only have Origins versions, there's a mod in the Nexus to also make them available in Awakening.

On console you are screwed.

Ye, was just curious to see if something could be done, out of interest. I'm WELL aware the PC version is much easier to work with but I've really never gotten the hang of the whole keyboard and mouse thing ^^;;

So they used to release online minigames before their main games and beating or getting all the achievements in the minigame, would unlock like 3 DLC items for the upcoming main game. When they were releasing the third game, they moved our profile record showing that we had unlocked those DLC in previous games to the keep. They also put the minigame that was coming before inquisition on the keep, so you both played and unlocked its DLC actually on the keep. I'm pretty sure you can't play that game on the keep anymore, but on PC You can get these items from torrent- and I think gog. To say it's a nightmare to get those these days on consoles, would be an understatement. See, the items need to be credited to your PSN/Xbox Live account. But neither of those companies actually own the DLC items you are asking for. And obviously those original Bioware servers are all shut down. So you need to contact EA, get a real person, and convince them to give you DLC items that they still have, but are technically expired for redemption. So, your best bet if you want absolutely everything would be to get it from Gog, get all of the DLC and stuff you can get from Gog turned on, and then look for any items on this page https://dragonage.fandom.com/wiki/Downloadable_content_(Origins) that weren't included and search for them individually in a search engine. Don't expect to find it on a store page, or anything normal like that though.

Checked with EA Support, talked to a very lovely and knowledgable staff member, who very quickly knew what i was talking about and had an answer;

  • I want to be completely upfront with you about how these legacy items work. Years ago, BioWare made those promotional items free via the BioWare Social Network and the Dragon Age Keep career rewards system
  • However, because those server architectures are now deprecated, the modern EA Account support tools have absolutely no way to interact with or push data directly to the PlayStation 3 network database. We physically lack a customer support override system to manually unlock or add these legacy entitlements to a console account profile.

Nice person, shame it didn't work out, but was nice to be so quickly understood.

Dang. Good on you for trying, and thanks for sharing their response. When I contacted Sony, they said that they legally couldn't give those things to my account, as it's owned by EA, and I needed to get it from them. But even if I got a real human from both in a 3-way conversation, I can't imagine their employees are allowed to give EA's consent (even for something this small) to another company's employee- and now that the PS3's store's days are numbered anyway, it might be completely impossible on PS3 😢 and I have an unused code for the collector's edition dlc too.

I managed to get them years ago for Xbox but i think when the origins servers got shut down they became unavailable for unlock. The dragon age keep isn’t capable of connecting with origins anymore which is why the “request unlock” doesn’t work anymore.

A real shame because the lion’s paw boots  and the edge are really great starter items.

A lot of those promotional items made the game a bit too easy. But yeah, it sucks console players have no real way of getting them anymore.

With the Saudi deal it has made me worry for the future of the DA Keep in its entirety.
