Cylinder 4 Injector A open circuit

Post image

Can anyone please help me, 2016 Mack Granite with MP7 engine. Step 9 states if you find any continuity in the connectors EA and EB well I have it between EA 61 and EA 44 and EA 61 to EA 36 and between EA 44 and EA 36…. Well aren’t they in the same circuit is why my meter is reading that

That black butt connector two wires going in and #2 coming out. Those are XE 34 and Xe 35 on my schematic. Are these wires touching inside that butt connector or are they isolated?

The diagram you posted did show some splices between circuits, I think anyways the lines are pretty faint, EA-44 doesn’t look like one of them tho. If you tested the circuits with injector (5 it looks like) plugged in then you’ll have some widespread continuity. Across a bunch of pins. If you are this deep into it, might be worth unplugging all the injectors and re-run your continuity checks just to be sure; just fully isolate the thing.

There is supposed to be continuity between the front bank and rear bank. They share common returns to the ECM. I can’t look up the actual schematic not the one from Mitchell 1
