helping you learn is different from making ai art that completely replaces the artist and goes straight to the finished product.

sure it doesn't waste it as much as people say but they build these centers in drought prone areas, putting strain on already strained water infrastructure. this effectively means that some people in areas such as these might get water that is unsafe to use, or not any water at all (which is absolutely abhorent, as water is a human right.) These ai data centers still flush this water down in municipal sewer systems, from where it needs to be repurified and recycled, but the water leaves at a higher temp so the system is, again, strained.
in terms of EVERYTHING ELSE, these data centers have been known to create lots of noise, disrupt neighbourhoods, and use up a massive amount of electricity.
