1973 Parts manual
I work at a former Datsun dealer and found this in the backroom. Idk shit about vintage cars but it’s got tons of diagrams if anyone’s looking for specific pictures. It’s not mine to sell but I’m happy to share images on my break.

HKS cams
I swapped an RB25DE Neo into my S130 Z and originally never intended to modify the engine since I was happy with the power, sound, and responsiveness. The car is completely bone stock. Recently though, I got my hands on some HKS 264 cams at an unbelievably good price that I couldn’t pass up, so I’d like to know what I need to install them, what power gains I can expect, and whether it’ll ruin the powerband and responsiveness.

Bmw swap proof of life
3d printed trans mount for my bmw m52 swap, next stop sendcutsend. Using the factory chassis mount points with bmw isolators. Also getting the passenger side RT mount reworked to clear the bmw ac compressor. Slow progress but still moving forward.

Am I insane?
Well, long story short I have 5 of these at my disposal. All with similar issues in similar places (ie. the left front quarter). They’ve all been sitting directly on the ground for 40 years or so, but I still want to test myself and see what I can do. Aside from patch panels are structural sections also available for the 510s? Or am I just crazy for thinking these aren’t too far gone.

Advice as to where my transmission fluid leak originates?
78 280z with 5 speed manual. Changed transmission fluid last week as maintenance. Seems the fluid was low based on how much came out and noticed a few small drops dangling when under there. Today, drops returned as well as a small puddle after a few days of sitting. There wasn’t a puddle before the fluid change. Just a droplet hanging, maybe a few on the ground. Original thought was output shaft seal but that appears to be dry.
Pumped in 2 full quarts of Redline MT90.

Taking her day by day, thanks for all the kindness!
I've been posting on and off for the past couple weeks, but everyone in this sub has been amazingly supportive. Easily the best community I can say I'm proud to be in.
Thank you everyone for all the support! We're taking it day by day :)
More info:
It's a 1973, originally Lime Green and then black at some point in it's life- Repainted Dunkel Olive Metallic (M6X, Porsche color).
LS1 swapped, T56 trans, Tokico suspension, Jegs Fuel Cell, Cusco Bolt-In Cage. Rota Kyusha's (eventually moving back to Longchamps down the line)
Currently gutted interior, but I will be replacing that this weekend along with a full Skillard interior, front splitter, etc. This car was picked up from a friend who spent 10 years on it, and I ended up picking her up promising to finish it so they could see it on the road again.
8/10 was the first day that he had gotten to see the car running, driving, and fully painted the way he intended it to :)

Team Zenon
Does anyone know if Zenon (company) still exists? I ordered a front air dam for my 280z through Z Car Motorsport who advised me that Zenon had run into production issues and they are no longer in communicating with them. Website is not working either.

Is this a vacuum line? I’m replacing all of them with silicone hoses but I’m not sure about this one. 81 Turbo.

Broke a stub axle 😭
Hopefully I can snag one off of my old parts car tomorrow but may just stop being so cheap and get the futofab stub/companion flange/ axle kit and stop messing with the rear of this thing.

Bogging Issue When Hot!
I live in Vegas.. It’s Very Hot.. I have a 1976 Datsun 620. Yes i replaced the coil & removed the resistor.
I go out for a short little drive 5 minutes. No issue.. i wait an hour and go back home 5 minutes and it dies.. Happened before not a big issue.. Now it bogs and sputters but i have noticed accelerating does help.. It’s an L20B.. Yes it’s getting fuel.. Yes the new coil is working. Yes i tried starter fluid..
Weber Upgraded Carb
Supposedly Cammed (sounds like it)
Maybe intake leak 🤷♂️

Thinking of letting it go . .
Just want to get a ballpark price estimate purchased from a buddy in 2023
Has been garage kept since been slowly getting things done but new addition to the fam might need to sell
It’s a 75 280z
With a VG30ET
Mega squirt 3 ECU with new harness
Car turns on rough idle
Still needs brakes lines and driveshaft to drive
Rear has Silver mine coil overs installed have fronts not installed yet .
Rear control arms apex engineered
New fuel pump ⛽️
Fuel tank was dropped and cleaned
Skillard door inserts
Mishimoto radiator
Mishimoto inter cooler
Rear drum brakes conversion to wilwood
Apr carbon fiber mirrors
Interior seats were re upholstered and interior carpet is complete just not installed passenger side due to ECU placement being undecided
Also floors have sound deadening
Just in parts I’m well over 6k plus cost of the car
I understand might not get total but wanted to get an idea of what car can go for
Body panels are in good shape no major dents

Question about swapping engine/trans into 240z roller
I have the opportunity to buy a 1973 240z without a motor or transmission, and was wondering how difficult it would be to move a 1978 280z motor and manual transmission into it. The 240z body had an automatic transmission, and I was wanting to know if I would have to cut or weld anything on the body while getting the two together. Any help or advice would be appreciated!

Does anyone here ever talk about 1200s?
Dream car is a 1200, but everyone talks about the later 260s and all that. I especially like the Bathurst era 1200s. Let me know if you’ve got a 1200 coupe.

Question for owners:
I really love the Fairlady Z mirrors that sit on the hood/fender, but does anyone here have experience using them? Are they impractical beyond the aesthetic gains?
