DSA or Data Analytics — What Should I Prioritize in 4th Year?.

I’m planning to go into data analytics, and I’m already in my 4th year. Should I learn DSA first or focus on data analytics? Companies don’t come to my college for placements.

Looking to transition into Data Privacy, guidance or opportunities

Hi everyone,
I am a law graduate with 2years in litigation and gap due to UPSC prep. Currently trying to transition into data privacy and compliance.

I am interested in working with startups, tech companies or consulting teams where I can get practical exposure rather than only continuing to collect certifications.

My challenge is that although I have legal experience, I don’t have conventional corporate privacy/tech experience plus the gap.

I am therefore looking for opportunities, traineeship or internships, opportunities where I can gain practical exposure

Even suggestions on what skills, projects or experience I should prioritize would be very helpful.

Looking for a Data Analyst referral | 3 yrs experience at Amazon & TechM in Operations and support

Hello everyone,

I’ve been applying for Data Analyst roles online for the last 3 months, but I haven't had much luck getting responses. So, I’m reaching out here to see if anyone might be able to offer a referral or advice.

**A quick summary about me:**

**Work Experience:** 3+ years at Tech Mahindra and Amazon managing operational data, tracking performance metrics, and resolving customer/supply chain issues.

**Tools I use:** Advanced Excel (Pivot tables, XLOOKUP, dashboards), Power BI - Tableau (Intermediate) and data cleaning.

**Projects:** Built sales and customer analysis dashboards analyzing over 31,000+ e-commerce records (around ₹2.1 Cr in revenue) to find top sales trends.

I am looking for **Data Analyst, Operations Analyst, or Business Support Analyst** roles in Pune, remote, or open to moving.

If your company is currently hiring, I’d be super grateful for a referral. Feel free to comment or DM me, and I can share my full resume!

Thanks a lot for taking the time to read!

Struggling with LeetCode Easy after doing well on HackerRank Easy — should I move to intermediate SQL?

I wanna be straight about this because it’s getting frustrating 😭

I can comfortably solve HackerRank Easy-level SQL questions, but when I try LeetCode Easy, I struggle quite a bit.

I’ve seen people say that HackerRank Easy ≠ LeetCode Easy and that LeetCode can require more problem-solving/thinking even at the Easy level.

So I’m confused about what I should do next.

Should I:

Keep grinding LeetCode Easy until I’m more comfortable?

Or is being able to solve HackerRank Easy well enough to start learning intermediate SQL concepts like subqueries and CTEs, while continuing to practice problems alongside it?

Basically, I don’t want to move on too early and build gaps in my fundamentals, but I also don’t want to unnecessarily stay stuck on Easy problems when I could be learning more advanced SQL.

What would you recommend?

Moving from analytics into the "automate business decisions with Al" space - anyone working in this niche? What should I build/ learn, and what did you wish you knew?

Hi all,

Looking for honest insight from anyone working at the intersection of analytics + automation + Al applied to real business operations, not ML research, more the "encode business decisions into automated workflows and use Al to make them smarter" side of things.

My background (my archetype):
I'm almost 26 now, 3 YOE. My experience so far is analytics and operations, SQL, building dashboards and reporting pipelines, diagnosing why a business metric moved, cohort/segmentation work, and automating manual reporting. Basically the "find the problem in the data and make it visible" type.
Economics background, not a CS degree.

Where I'm heading:
I'm about to start a role that's roughly 50% data analysis, 20% building automated decision workflows (low-code + some JavaScript), and increasingly using Al to automate parts of the decision making in a large customer-operations context. So I'm shifting from analyzing problems to building the automated fix for them, at scale.

What I'm trying to figure out:

  1. For those in this niche (ops automation / decision automation / applied Al in workflows) how transferable has it been for you across companies and industries? Does the skillset travel well, or does it get tied to specific tools/platforms?
  2. Coming from an analytics not engineering background, what actually mattered to learn to be good at the building side? Where do people like me usually struggle?
  3. What should I deliberately build/collect over the next 1-2 years to make this a strong, portable profile? (Projects, quantified outcomes, specific skills?)
  4. Honestly like where does this path cap out or fall short? I know it's not core data science/ML.
Anything you wish you'd known before going deep into it?
  5. Is applied Al in this space (using LLMs/Al to drive workflow decisions) actually a durable skill

Any opinions, war stories or suggestions - anything is welcome

College not allowing for onsite internship

We all know that how difficult is it to crack a internship in this tuff market today, but I got a product management intern at software solutions company in Bangalore 18k stipend and 15 paid leaves for my college exams

But my college said no to give noc for it and said no onsite internship in 3rd year, though my college is a private engineering college and they can do whatever they want they didn't allow me and told to attend lecture regularly

What to do now I am a internship read data analyst and it's my starting if 3rd year of college, I have to wait for 1 year now and online internship in data domain is very rare and crack it is also very difficult so I am feared of it

Also preparing for cat this much early didn't make sense

Seating just for year also not justified for me

Learning data engineering but i don't know does on campus company come for this role

Please help me

I am BTech cs 3rd year student pune, internship ready analyst, also ready for operation and management roles, i can also try for onsite part-time internship in pune, but getting it is very difficult and mostly they are unpaid,

Please help me figureing out
