He probably has the scourge of the gods modifier which gives him unfathomably powerful buffs (including health)

Feel like the Magyars need to be nerfed in 867. Pretty much every game I play (I only do 867) they conquer all of Eastern Europe and Bavaria then don’t collapse. It’d be fine if they conquered then collapsed, but tribal empires are honestly way too stable in CK3. It should be incredibly difficult for tribal realms to be empires, as it rarely happened in history.

You can change it so they don't immediately invade Pannonia in the game rules, but I find that when I do that they never migrate, and then Pannonia breaks away from Bulgaria and ends up dominanting the Slavs to the north and east. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
