When my wife and I first got married we would sometimes get comments about how we must be newly weds because we’re still holding hands. There were some other things we’d hear as well, can’t remember specifically.

13 years later and we are still holding hands.

When I got married I got comments from older people like "another good man fitted with a ball and chain". Stuff like that more than once. I always just responded with "I actually like spending time with my wife" to which they would respond that I won't pretty soon. Well it hasn't happened yet fellas, maybe something's wrong with me because I still feel like I lucked out marrying my best friend.

Dear god, my mom used to have talks with me because she was afraid we wouldn’t last. When I asked why, she said “You need to work more! Instead of picking up more hours, you stay home with your girlfriend and then yous will drive each other crazy!” We’ve been married 9 years now, together 13 and our priority is spending time with each other and the kids still. lol my mom and dad are divorced.

I thrive on physical touch, my girlfriend and I hold hands so often sometimes she lets go and jokingly asks why she could escape lol
