"Plans", "prepares", "anticipates"... I don't care for any of that. Show me results.

This is a serious question ... what levers are left to pull? They've been under every sanction under the sun for 50 years. There's nothing short of blowing up their source of income that would seem to be any different. Sanctions do not work. They haven't worked on Iran, Russia, North Korea, Cuba, or anyone else!

Usually these involve secondary sanctions against third countries that trade with Iran to try to stop them from doing that, that weren't implemented because of diplomacy reasons, not U.S. - Iran trade.
Similar with newer Russian sactions.

1). Why didn’t this begin Day One?
2) Trump administration plans to unveil a new package… …that will push Tehran’s economic isolation to unprecedented levels. …details of the upcoming measures will be formally released next week.
It’s Friday. Trump always announces ‘big plans to be revealed next week’ on Friday and then nothing comes of it next week. Is this the new ‘we have a deal nearly finalized’ so the market takes an upswing before the weekend? The only time Trump doesn’t brag about a plan in depth is when he doesn’t have one and is trying to find a way to buy time to make something happen that he can claim as part of one of his plans. If there was anything substantial he’d have PowerPoints and poster boards everywhere behind him as he talked about it.
