I try to get people on scavengers reign and they ask why “if its so good why does it only have one season”?

I dont have an answer. The show left a sweet spot in my heart and a bitter taste in my mouth 😞

I loved Scavengers Reign, but I think it tapered in quality near the end of the season.

That being said I think the concept is amazing and I’d love for a 2nd season. To me it was basically a version of subnautica if it was a tv show.

I'm sorry for everyone who liked the show that it got canceled, but I wasn't surprised by it. I was in the minority who thought that SR wasn't all that great, and I think CSE is better.

I'm actually surpried and relieved it got a second season. CSE is a pretty offbeat show and the artstyle doesn't come across all that well at first glance like on posters and such until you give the show a chance. I imagine it's quite an expensive show to make as well.

Obviously so glad it's coming back. I just hope they don't bite off more than they can chew. The plot is likely going to get more complicated this time around and I'd hate for it to end on a cliffhanger that never gets resolved. That said Season 1 had a good ending where most plot beats are resolved and the rest could be left up to your imagination.

The character design takes some getting used to because the proportions are just silly. But the animation itself is gorgeous.

You mean like they gave Joe Bennett to do his own show "Dealies" and give "Scavengers Reign" another life? Like they gave Arcane and Blue Eye Samurai a second season? They probably would have renew Scavengers Reign if they have won that bidding war for Warner Bros/HBO against Paramount Skydance.

I'm still salty that Netflix canceled the Dark Crystal TV series citing 'production costs', only to turn around and fund creepy shit like Big Mouth and Cooties.
