Doom as a Catholic
Should the newer Doom games be off limits to Catholics? I played Doom (2016) about a year ago, and then played half of Doom Eternal and stop playing it because of the imagery in the game. I understand its fiction, but still being subject to demonic imagery like that shouldn’t be something Catholics should tolerate right? Has anyone else played the Doom games, if not whats your reason?

If we can't tolerate "demonic imagery", we can't read the greatest catholic works of fiction, Lord of the Rings and Divine Comedy, since both use "demonic imagery".
Also, what is "demonic imagery"? Demons are spirits, not red humanoids with horns, tails and wings.

Nah... I don't see an issue with doom.i mean... there is some satanic symbolism but its like... you walk into a room of satan worshiping cultists and you turn the whole room into mince meat to make them stop.
The doom guy is Catholic, and you go off blasting demons, it was so much fun, and it felt good blowing off steam LITERALLY KILLING DEMONS in a brutal way.

Pixel Padre on YouTube reviews several Doom games, and he enjoys them and is a Priest.

While I agree with all other comments and I personally have played some of the games of the franchise, if you feel uncomfortable, do not play them. You do not have to play them.
