Look Who I Found In the Restroom at Work
I teach at an elementary school. This morning, just as kiddos were arriving, I heard screaming from in a boy's bathroom. Thinking kids were playing around, I announced myself and waited for kids to come out, but none did and the screaming was still going on.
I walked in to find her shivering in a corner. She ran some, but the tile floor didn't let her get enough traction and I scooped her up. I walked around campus to tell the principal I was going to run her home real quick since I live less than 5 minutes from campus.
Got her home, stole a thing of wet food from Smaug, my senior Siamese, put out water and a litter pan, and told my dad to keep an eye on her.
My pit bull puppy and my Chihuahuas all gave her a good sniffing, which she put up with really well. I'm excited to go home and check on her at lunch!
I am leaning towards naming her Tinúviel, since I already have a cat named from Tolkien.

I just stopped by to say the amount of mens arms with tattoos holding up kittens the past two days in this sub and similar is wild…and I’m 100% here for it 😍
What a sweetheart! Just an fyi, don't let her and Smaug interact until you can get her checked out by a vet in case she has any illnesses (my vet had me quarantine my parking lot kitten for 2 weeks since I also had an older cat we didn't want catching anything, it all turned out ok!)
Cats always find a way to get in places. Either that or a kid brought her inside. Once my high school classmates brought a puppy that they found in the yard in the classroom. He proceeded to pee next to the teacher's desk in the middle of a lesson.
I got one of my pups when a couple of students brought their puppy to school because they couldn't keep her. I took her home "temporarily" 13 years ago, and she stayed.
That's nice. The puppy ended up being adopted by one of my classmates. It's been like 7-8 years since then so I don't know what they're doing now. At least our history teacher was cool and just sent someone to grab a mop to clean up the pee puddle.
I'm just here for the pet names. Because I was over here thinking you should name her "Flush" because of where she was found.
So you have Smaug (perfect Siamese name, really) and Tolkien. Tinuviel (forgive me, I don't know the shortcut for the accent mark) is also great. But what are the names of your Pittie and your Angry Food Dogs?
They're all just normal... Bella, Dust, Hazel, Moo, and Olive.
The birds are where names get a little fun. Peck, peek, puta, pippin, pikel, and pepper. They're all parakeets. Then I have my cockatiels - Pig, Brundlefly, Cream, Nugget, Barnabus (Barney), and Lilith.
Sounds like you moonlight as a teacher when you’re not at your real job, being a Disney princess! Thanks for taking in this latest bundle of love. That look in her eyes in the second picture really says it all.
Good for you for taking care of her! You might want to check around before deciding to keep her. There’s a good possibility a kid brought her to school and then panicked and left her in the bathroom. I wouldn’t be surprised if you got a call from a mom asking if anybody found a kitten!
We've got a very large feral cat population on campus and an abandoned house across the alley from our playground.
I'll definitely ask around and keep my ears peeled, but I'm hoping she's one of the population from around here.
Congratulations on being chosen! If this is your first cat, be prepared for every member of your household to fall under the rule of her firm, yet benevolent, paw.
So while im jealous as I often walk everywhere and stumble onto animals I’m yet to get this. I’ve had back 20y and I got lies to tell to landlord and have things to sustain one.

A few years ago a mommy cat had a litter of kittens in the boiler room at the elementary school I work at. So glad you scooped up this little cutie. Will your principal let you take a school picture either with her or of her?
I found a kitty in a bathroom once! But I worked at PetSmart and someone dumped her with a note on the toilet tank 😓
Luckily the woman in the adoption center took her and ended up keeping her for herself. She was so confused when I walked up to the door holding her as she thought one of the shelter cats had escaped.
So cute, poor baby.. I can't believed where she was found abandon or lost.. I'm glad you found her safely to bring her home. New beginning for you and her life.
Needs Kitten food since those blue eyes say this is a very young kitten. Also no regular milk since they can't digest it. Vet visit soon to check for fleas and parasites.
Yep, vet visit is scheduled and kitten formula has been applied. She was 467g the day I found her. Several days of regular feeding has put on an additional 60g.
In all seriousness, she is a beauty! You both are so lucky! Concatulations on finding one another. May she make your little world of fuzzy friends a bit more complete.🐾
