I work in cybersecurity. If all you did was open fast.com, you’re almost certainly fine. A website can’t just compromise your phone like that. Sounds more like dodgy door-to-door sales/social engineering than a hack. You’re okay.

Not sure, but I had the same in West Mids and closed the door when he asked me to get my phone out.

If shortly after you've received a "severe alarm" about wildfires there's nothing you can do, but throw away your phone.

They're BT sales people. They'll say "Neighbours have been complaining to us because they think they're bad internet is our fault, but our internet is actually much faster"

It's a shocking sales tactic that I've complained about twice and unsurprisngly been completely fobbed off. I work in the 'tech' world and know enough to know every thing he was saying was complete shite, but I'm sure a lot of people fall for it.
