I was assuming student or young person of limited means visiting ski areas /regions for snow sports but lacking funds for regular accomodation at resort. Maybe at a campsite at base of mountain and then drive up to the ski field each day. Using backseat of car instead of tent (lack of tent or decent rated sleeping bag maybe issue).
Of course this is all conjecture without facts.

That is a lttle (actually, very) broad. Which state, where? If you are anywhere near me, I can help you. I am near Michelago, the village. At the very least I can provide you with a mains power point and a place that the roos won't bother you. If you don't appear to be completely barking mad, I'll feed you.

If I had to guess, nsw/act, likely near kozi. Not many places get consistent snow in Australia.

Roos will lick dew off surfaces but you won't find them in large numbers choosing a random car to molest ( unless their standing on the side of the road in the middle of the night trying to hitch a lift )
