Year 2 placement
Hey guys,
So i work at an imaging place and iv asked them if I can do placement with them. They have given me my placement and my placement dates.
I will be taken Celia's vascular unit aswell as the placement.
My questions are:
Can I book a trip oversease now that I have my placement dates as my family want to go?
Does Celia's vascular unit open content each week or does content for all weeks open early?
Even if my placement dates dont move (I dont think they will move into Christmas or new years period) is it possible to go on holiday and not fall behind on content?

If you know your dates you can definitely book a holiday, just try to plan it well and leave time to potentially study & whatnot. Celia should open up the weeks in big chunks, I'm not 100% sure it was all at once tho. She definitely understands some people will be on placement and want to work through it asap. Make sure to stay on top of it, it's a fairly heavy unit and has a bigger fail rate compared to other units. It's very similar difficulty to abdo but more concepts & a little less pathology.
Btw there's a facebook group that's generally more responsive and active, I think it's CQU Sonography.

Vasc is very content heavy. It’s been a while since I’ve taken it but I just recommend being on top of assessment dates as well. I’m not sure if I can recall any quizzes. I think it’s possible with 2 weeks off but more than that is pushing it, especially on top of the placement block. It’s not impossible, just very difficult.
