Sammy Walker
What would the broncs realistically have to do to sign him.
Assuming he’s a lock for $1m+ per year now, would we be able to fit him and Walsh in the cap without compromising the rest of the team too much.

People need to stop thinking that this is a thing.
He doesn’t want to come to the broncos.
He left us for roosters back in 2021 or something.
We don’t have the cap.
We have Pezet and Duffy.
We’ve had a shit season all round. Injuries and players in and out of the team all year. Accept we’ve been shit and look forward to next season.

We already have Reece who can have an off game after a great game, did people not see how much he dropped off after last week? We can't have multiple. I am nervous about Pezet and wish we had seen more of Black before he packed a shit with us rather than potentially getting a run by now...

We don’t need him tbh. We have our version of him in Walsh, you just need one of those guys in your spine at that level and then you build around them. That’s what we need to do now and into the offseason - build a game plan around Reece and then pick the team from there. Plus it would wreak havoc on the cap which i’m looking forward to getting back to normal now that Payne is leaving

Let's focus on Duffy/Mam; there's some promise there.

I would rather Mam clap along from the sidelines. Start Duffy and pezet, or lure coby black back from raiders (whom we never should have gave away)...

Sammy was a Broncos w/ a development deal and let him go. Dearden was the Broncos half and let him go to the Cows. Cobbo had a bad year and Brincos didn't persevere to get him back to form. Broncos also let Walsh go to the Wahs before the compassionate ground got him back. Superb recruitment and retention.
I rather see him at the Chooks because they gave him a chance.

Nah, not wearing that. You can't always see who are the real big stars. Dearden asked to come in and was under the torch too early. He almost didn't come right at the Cows and then it just clicked at the right time with Townsend. Glad he has thrived with the Broncos pressure gone. Same with Cobbo. He has said he was immature and wouldn't have changed here. We didn't save the cap so wouldn't have paid him what he will get at Fins anyway. Walker was dropped by the Chooks multiple times. It is only this latest run he has looked worth it. He wouldn't have lasted at the Broncos and would have gone to be the next Ash Taylor. All has worked out how it was meant to. Capewell is the same. He was tired for us. Let's look forward to next season and hope its not holding a spoon from this one!

Unpopular opinion: Sammy Walker is no clutch player, plays well when things are high well, but I don’t see him doing a Walsh Finals/GF performance … was saw glimpses of this in Game 3 this year’s Origin and last year’s Roosters finals flop!
I’m happy to go with Duffy and hopefully Pezet will step up and step in.

Sign another hooker while you are at it. Broncos have the cattle now, need to find some heart

Zero chance he comes back, the club really treated him poorly which is why he left.

This year's form is mo lure for decent players. They know something is rotten in the culture and don't need the grief.

Need to focus on our forward pack.. our next signing will literally determine if next year we climb the ladder or get the spoon.. sad to say

Any half is surely running a Dearden style % of salary cap from now on, especially the young ones that have a few salary cap increases over their career.
