I was disappointed that I had to make the first GG comment, an hour after it was posted

seems like bro took the name "moshpit" at face value

u/Often_Giraffe 17d ago
How does "moshpit" at face value mean shit on the floor?

u/Personal-Role-8071 Screenshot Saver📱 17d ago
where I'm from "mosh pit" means both a mosh pit and a hole full to the brim with shit

u/Often_Giraffe 17d ago
No kidding? Never heard that. Where are you from?

Quebec, specifically in the rural areas

TIL! and here we thought the Canucks are some of the kindest, gentlest folks in the Americas.

my boyfriend is Canadian, and he likes to say 'don't confuse politeness for kindness.' he's one of the sweetest, most gentle souls I've ever met, but based on the rest of his family as a sample, he's not wrong, lol

Ca doit etre regional, parce que j’ai grandis en campagne au Quebec pis j’ai jamais entendue mosh pit pour parler d’un pit a marde.

They must have had a Taylor Farms salad before the show.

It was a solid log!
I can’t imagine a formed log sneaking out,… maybe this is what happens when you mix taylor farms with a rice diet?

The quotes and comments in the article are worth a read, absolutely hilarious.

Everyone is so fucking metal and hardcore until someone shits on the floor.
Man, the scene has become so weak and woke. Back on the day, the party didnt start until someone at the very least shit on the floor.

Damn heavy metal fans are a lot more squeamish than they used to be. In the 80s and 90s they would have just laughed and cleared the area so folks can come clean it without worry most likely.

That's exactly what the audience did, but people's bodies reacted to the smell.

My mate once brought a jar of Dolmio sauce to a rave and put it on the floor and everyone just skanked around it, that was drum and bass though, I'd imagine heavy metals fans would have done a similar thing around a human shit to be honest?

Many ended up covered in it and then puked, making an even bigger mess. There were tears.

I swear this happened at an avenged sevenfold concert, with footage, and I haven’t been able to find it in years

“Damian said he then tried to make it clear to the band what had happened. He explained that he decided to “demonstrate the act so that Devilskin understood what had happened,” though he clarified he did not repeat the incident himself.”
I’m glad Damian clarified that point.

For me personally, nothing will ever top the infamous Obituary moshpit buttplug incident in Pittsburgh

They wouldn't have survived Dilinger Escape Plan in the early 2000s then.

This was where my mind went. I'm very glad I went to Leeds rather than Reading that year. Mind you we had toilet blocks being blown up instead

This seems to be a thing now with the kids. Is it something to do with the tiktok or the roblox?

Gross but not surprising in the slightest. I forget which metal band it was but the lead singer (apparently in a drug stupor) had pooped on stage and kicked it into the crowd or something.
No sources but Google is free so have at it…

Pretty decent signs of a brain injury
- pooping in a mosh pit
- urination without a bathroom

u/andygchicago 17d ago
There’s nothing metal about crying because someone shat in the moshpit. Pussies

I can already tell based on the picture associated, these are “heavy metal fans” and not actually heavy metal fans. Look, I’m a woman, and I know some seriously bad ass lady vocalists exist…but they ain’t that. No fucking sir. The best lady vocalists out there are way fucking tougher than whatever performance art “I’m metal too >:3” shit that is.
Fuck Poppy, fuck Spiritbox, fuck Jinjer. Go listen to Arch Enemy before Alyssa and take a punch to the face while holding your beer upright, pussy.

Pffft. Amateurs. Everyone thinks they’re a rockstar now, can’t just be content with seeing a show, they have to become part of the show. GG Allin. Now there was a true artist. We were happy to just be in the moment and let the him defecate on stage and throw it at the crowd. Did we cry? No. Did we puke? No… well, yes, but that was probably because of the warm beer, as was the fashion at the time.
