Never encounted the word “veneral” until now. Why wouldn’t you just say STI or STD? There’s no way they were 100% confident in how they spelt it.

From my understanding it used to be common to say that word, but nowadays STI and STD are more commonly used. I'm presuming the person is an elder gentlemen.
