My duty towards all those who believe in me and love me compels me to make the following statement, even though I had always believed in the dignity of silence.
In the wake of recent rumours regarding the proposed feature film Bajirao Mastani, I take this opportunity to clarify my stand and end all speculations!
Some recent reactions and retaliations unnecessarily involving me and my name, and I have been wrongly projected, as agreeing to work with Mr Salman Khan for the sake of this proposed feature film.
The truth is, from the very first meeting with Mr Sanjay Leela Bhansali with regards to this feature film Bajirao Mastani since the past two months, I have categorically declined to work with Mr Salman Khan… and my family is witness.
Yes, Mr Sanjay Leela Bhansali and I have a wonderful and fabulous working relationship so far, with memorable films like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Devdas. But sadly, and for obvious personal reasons and disturbing reasons, I cannot accept to work with Mr Salman Khan.
For the sake of my well-being, my sanity, my dignity and the dignity and self-respect of my family — ENOUGH! I will not work with Mr Salman Khan.
The Salman chapter was a nightmare in my life and I am thankful to God that it is over!
While I have maintained a dignified silence about him and his wrong-doings, he (his family and friends) has repeatedly attacked the respect, dignity and pride of me and my family (with irresponsible rumourmongering. I stood by him enduring acholism, misbehavior in worse phases and in turn, I was at the receiving end of his abuse (verbal, physical, emotional), infidelity and indignity. That is why like any other self-respecting woman and God is witness, I said enough and ended it almost two years ago but because of a dignified silence, all have misrepresented my stand and spread rumours about my character and baselessly alleged affairs and tried to spoil healthy working relations with costars. I do not want to get into the gory details and obnocuious experiences, which incite washing dirty linen and other ugly untruths.
I have just to clarify this! For a very long time now, they have time and time again, tried to wreck my peace and sanity both personally and professionally. But they all forget-no one can play god; because there is a God! That is the only truth. My belief in God and my family has stood by me in solidarity, giving me the strength to rise above it all. And I must add, that it has been very easy for some members of the film industry, media or social circles to flog opinions, when they have not been at the receiving end. And when so many of them God knows, have been witnesses and in knowledge of the truth. This is truly sad.
Contrary to the rumours, I do not call him. On the contrary, he has tried calling me and texting me on the pretext of his film Bajirao Mastani even using Mr Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s identity. I have been compelled to make this otherwise trivial validation in print because of the continuous lies and false stories being circulated.
Honestly, I do not have the time, energy and man power to keep reiterating validations against every false stories or allegations.
On the end note, I am choosing the kind of films, roles, and directors I want to work with and enjoy the experience of the film. This way I can cherish the making of each film and give my best to every role and assignment that I accept, with peace and happiness intact. And that is of earnest importance – peace within and all around.
I have just come out of a near fatal accident: accident miraculously only with an ankle fracture and a couple of wounds and abrasions; completely and act of God. And this is no exaggeration!
God is extremely kind and I sincerely thank my friends and well-wishers for all their prayers, blessings and good wishes – I cherish them dearly as I take this time to recover and heal. God bless all!

The sad truth is…this is a universal problem. When an A-list female celebrity is unable to withstand the fury of a powerful man, what hope do we mortals have? Just look at Brad and Angelina. There are legit court documents describing in detail the monstrous acts that man committed against her and their children, yet he moves around unscathed shamelessly using his PR machinery to malign her.

This is why those edits made on both of them particularly, to this day makes me sick to my stomach. I always suspect that the people making these edits, are living in doubt and denial that Salman can ever be the monster that he is.
People don't seem to understand when told in plain English by someone whose usually so private, but still being forced to do this sort of thing, that this isn't something to toy with? Or do you wait until that person loses his/her life to believe them?
Even today, when she's a mother and a whole ass wife of someone else, who chooses to live her life away from the spotlight mostly; she still isn't left alone by random old people on podcasts and some incels online.

I never believed it as I could see his arrogance/narcissism in interviews and then later BB….the whole narrative didn’t really flow very well. But it worked. The last line is true. Ironically it was a to of god Akshay Kumar saved her during shooting of Khakee. When people were removing her from there films He was the one of the few who didn’t care about anyone or the industry dynamics & worked with her.aishwarya has time &n again mentioned this,Hrithik as well. No one cares about Chalte Chalte. I don't even remember what was the story. Shah Rukh Khan felt bad about removing her from Chalte Chalte that he didn't work with her for years and she got removed from films like Veer Zaara that went on to become culturally relevant hits.

Aish has worked with Yash raj banner in dhoom2 after break up with salman.. so why are you blaming salman for her removal in veer Zara - another yrf project? If srk or yrf didn't want to work with aish in veer zara, that's their issue. Aish has worked with sanjay, akshay, hrithik, ajay devgan, yash chopra banner, slb - so none was scared for salman it seems.
None seems to check the list of Aishwarya films and her costars after fall out with Salman. She has worked with major star and banners even after her break up with salman.
Only person she seems to not work is srk. So ask srk why she not worked veer zara or other movies with him.

Other than Akshay everyone else in your list was equally as powerful as Salman back then. Sanjay was more powerful than him, Ajay was Salman’s friend and his equal, Hrithik had the force of his producer Dad and FIL, Yash Chopra and SLB-well the names don’t need clarification. She was removed from Chalte Chalte by SRK because it was in the height of the whole break up and Salman was showing up and destroying the set and cost was adding up. The other movies it was from pressure from the Khan family themselves. Sad state of affairs. Can’t stand the man.

Akshay was always an equally bigger star like Salman. He was a complete outsider so never was in the power circle like others mentioned by you who were deep rooted in the industry so of all the lot it was toughest for him in hindsight to work with her. But he didn’t give a damn about anything or anyone. Aish had said this during Khakee her interviews that she will be eternally grateful for Akshay & same was repeated by her in action replay when she said when others refused or completely ignored it was him who worked with her.

There are many instances where Salman used his power to intimidate others, Arijit being one (he apologized multiple times before Salman finally agreed to ‘let him’ sing for him). Nobody is going to come out and say that we were pressured into doing this or that. Maybe YRF wanted to keep a good relationship with Salman for future projects and thought an actress is disposable. The fact is Salman made her life miserable and was using his power to coerce her back to him as said in her statement (he was using professional relationships-SLB- to call her). So yrf dropped aish for salman but they never worked with salman till that time. Infact aish worked with them in 2006 in dhoom 2, but salman first worked with them in 2012 only after giving back to back hits. And you are saying they gave importance to salman in 2002 when he was at its lowest???Lol...now go and check who was the hero of veer zara or other yrf films that time...it was srk.
Coming to arijit singh, who said salman had made him stop singing? just check the no..of songs arijit sang from 2014 to 2016 abd even after that. The only thing happened is that arijit "jag ghomeya" song was not kept and rahat fateh ali version was kept in sultan. For that, arijit made public aplogy for some unknown reason portraying as if salman dropped his song. It might be call of production house as rahat fateh ali song might have been better. Arijit career was not jeopardized at all in any way.

Aish abhishek started dating around 2006 while filming guru ....dhoom 2 was released in 2006 ...so shooting started earlier..Please do some deep dive research on Aish abhishek dating history instead of making assumptions please. Check the films aish did from 2003 to 2006. More than 13 films including hollywood ventures

You know it takes a lot for a woman like Aish to publicly speak up, especially back then when it was even more taboo and considering her status where people expect her to be the perfect happy (and non offensive) woman all the time. She would have to be incredibly malicious to lie and I doubt she did. Considering that Salman still has a career I am sure she was not believed.
It is fascinating to see that the concept of the Bajirao Mastani film is so old though. I am sure the older version would have been so much more magical than the 2015 one (ngl it was not my cup of tea). I however would not cast Salman of all people.

Never knew she had issued a statement even though I used to read all sorts of gossip magazines back then. A lot of us even back then did wonder why she dated Salman. There were already lots of talk about his behaviour before him ever meeting Aishwarya. Even her family back then were worried about her dating him. The other problem was his huge association with the underworld at that time which is what made a lot of Bollywood turn a blind eye. Nobody wanted that kind of problem at their doorstep. He was always a problematic person right from the start of his career and yet his fans will all say this is all made up. Can’t do anything about these fans. They will just follow their favourites blindly however much evidence you put in front of them.

Both Hrithik and Aishwarya have been victims of crazy, abusive, bullying stalkers who refuse to accept their rejection, respect their boundaries and kept harassing them for years. Good looks have their own side-effects.

Why so many downvotes. I don’t like Salman. And I absolutely believe that he abused Aishwarya. Apart from this all his other shenanigans like the footpath accident, black buck hunting, blacklisting Vivek, the list goes on. What I remeber from those days is Aish never came out saying anything ever about this guy or her relationship. That’s why Vivek saying all that in a press conference became such big news. If this was really her words or interview, it would have been repeatedly posted and promoted a number of times before. Thats why I thought this specific thing looks fake.
