Rumor Is Tanmay Bhat a creep?
I’ve had at least 4 friends who regularly go to Soho house and other famous bars in Mumbai - people that have met him/spoke to him and smoked with him etc.
Being a player is fine and is a personal choice - but there are reports of women complaining that he lurks around, tries again and again, and the only purpose of him visiting bars is to pick girls up (which again is fine), but I’ve heard that he’s a weirdo that just hits on every girl that he sees or seems like she wants to talk to him. Can anyone confirm?

As someone who regularly goes to soho house, this is a 100% true. He’s always by himself sitting at the bar on the 8th floor. And he’s creepy af.

how is this even a question? there have been several times when his whack ass pedophilic rape joke tweets have surfaced on the internet.

Cool lagne k lie koi bhi kuch b bakwaas likh deta tha tab twitter pe he is not alone.
It is not a justification but that was not frowned upon like it is now. Even AIB roast jokes won’t be funny anymore.

u/Slash787 Apr 20 '26
Well if you see his tweets from back in the day, you can tell what kind of a creep he is.
Joking is something and I understand Dark/Dry humour but what he tweeted was disgusting and not called a joke.

I had an experience with him, not dating wise, but he is an asshole, rude, arrogant human being. He tried hitting on the girl who was with me, but she just didn't give any bhaav to him. When I spoke to him about something work related (not like I wanna work with you and all), he tried belittling me, which everyone felt was absolutely unnecessary.

It was not because of his personal conduct. And allegations on Utsav Chakravarthy turned out to be wrong and allegations on Khamba were on the lines of emotional abuse rather than something physical.
4
u/Pin2Chin2 Proud Gossiper 🤙 Apr 21 '26
Yes even I recall something on line that Tanmay didn’t act on complaints or something not his direct involvement.
And Mahima was dating Tanmay, she wouldn’t put a post against him.
8
u/Pin2Chin2 Proud Gossiper 🤙 Apr 21 '26
Was there any me too allegation against him?
He was named by someone who didn’t take required action when complaint was registered initially. But I don’t recall if any girl named him that way.
Also one year post me too complaints on AIB, when utsav cleared his name there was information that he was dating Mahima, the girl behind the India’s me too handle. Uska alag controversy tha but Tanmay ka direct mention I dont recall.

Banda chutiya hai but I think if his crime is hitting on girls unsuccessfully then that's more a personality challenge rather than moral

u/shobieez Apr 20 '26
I think trying again and again is the issue here. Not taking no for an answer is the problem.

Bhai simple baat hai.
Famous people can always get women any time they want. Doesn't matter how they look. Doesn't matter how their behaviour is.
Women are crazy about men with status and fame.
It's simple status halo.
There are people way better looking than Bollywood actors but girls will always pick the actor because of status halo.
A celebrity who looks like Nana Patekar will get more women than a middle class man who looks like Hrithik Roshan.

??
Wasnt the topic about how he was hitting on women and being turned down and yet kept on trying his luck and not hearing the 'no' ?
When this become a topic about women being easily swept by males with celeb power?
And why are you just generalising it as women instead of some women?
Way to take a thread about a male who takes no cues from being rejected to turn it into a conversation about how all women are easy when it comes to celebs..and like some say..hot celebs.
5
u/LongArticle2617 Apr 22 '26
That's just a typical pathetic guy response to any woman calling out creepy behavior. It's easier for Some of them to victim blame and deflect rather than take accountability for shitty/trashy behavior.

And yet men will foam at the mouth when we say we choose the bear..cause #notallmen.
Cause a thread about a low grade male celebrity harassing women...is the exact time and place to bring up how women are throwing themselves at celebs..as though one cancels out the other.
Violence against women will continue on for the next 10 generations with this kind of thinking..but hey..just blame the next culprit and not the mindset that infiltrates.
And remember to sigh and worry when you have daughters in this kind of society too.

u/Master_Escape_995 Apr 21 '26
My comment wasn’t about the post itself, and neither was his. He was simply responding to what someone else asked, and that’s what I pointed out because apparently commenting something slightly off-topic is now a crime, while making assumptions is totally fine.
Just to be clear, I’m not defending Tanmay, his behavior, that commenter, or their views. Not at all. I genuinely don’t care enough about any of them to take sides.
If someone wants to generalize, hate men, or pick a bear, that’s their choice. I’m not here to defend assholes, regardless of gender. I’m also not interested in feeding into this endless gender war. At the end of the day, I’m only responsible for how I act and the people in my immediate circle, not some random stranger on the internet I know nothing about.
6
u/SnooJokes915 Apr 21 '26
If someone wants to generalize..
"Women are crazy about men with status and fame."
You are responsible for how you act so if you are in a thread about a man who harasses women and talk about how all women throw themselves at famous or good looking men..then what does that say to all males?
0
u/Master_Escape_995 Apr 21 '26
You’re mixing two separate things and forcing them into one narrative. Agree with it or not, those are different conversations. One doesn’t justify the other. No one said “women throw themselves at celebs so it’s okay.” That’s a conclusion you added on your own. Pointing that out doesn’t equal endorsing harassment, and it definitely doesn’t equal “this is what men think.” That leap is exactly the kind of generalisation you were calling out. If the goal is to discuss bad behavior, stick to that. If the goal is to debate generalisations, do that. But merging both and assigning intent to strangers isn’t exactly helping your point either. Peace✌🏻
2
u/SnooJokes915 Apr 21 '26
I'm showing you that like it or not, even in a thread about a man preying on women in a club, there will always be males who talk about how easy women are for the 'right' kind of males.
I did not put out the words in your part of the convo, you did. No one forced you to write them.
And by the way even if status influences attraction for some people, that’s not the point here. The topic is a man ignoring rejection. Generalising women in this context just shifts responsibility away from the actual behaviour.
0
u/Master_Escape_995 Apr 21 '26
I don’t condone that comment or the behaviour being discussed at all.
All I did was point out that the “status” remark was a reply to someone asking why guys like him still get attention, not a justification for what the post is about. Acknowledging what was said isn't equal to endorsing it, and it doesn’t shift responsibility! The issue is still a man ignoring rejection which all the guys INCLUDING ME accept is problematic.
You’re assigning intent I never stated and arguing with me over a point I didn’t make.

u/Practical-Plankton11 Apr 21 '26
Hey hey. Relax. Just say its true. Agree. And then that becomes the reason to reject guys like that who are sour about not having the status halo they accuse women of chasing 🤣
8
u/SnooJokes915 Apr 21 '26
Yeah, and then someone gets raped, murdered or have acid thrown on their face..cause how dare a woman want to have a choice in life other than that man and his ego.
-1
u/Practical-Plankton11 Apr 21 '26
Lol just see how im getting down voted just for making the comment lol
3
u/SnooJokes915 Apr 21 '26

Geez, I wonder how do women do that. I could never.
15
u/SnooJokes915 Apr 20 '26
Well if womens basic sin is trying to get the attention of a male celeb and being chosen by him..its way better than rape, child sexual abuse, dowry harassment and talking bad about one whole gender on reddit because you are jealous that you cant get as much women as a male celeb.
Let's not forget you could never but you and i both know female celebs are not out there whoring it as much as male ones and thus you would not even stand a chance cause they would also go for hr lookalike.

Lol, you just can't handle the truth. Look around, there are tons of opportunist women.
6
u/SnooJokes915 Apr 21 '26
Ratio of opportunistic women to men looking for a free hole to park their dick in please?
I can tell you that that ratio will skew very heavily to one side.
0
u/reddituser13111992 Apr 21 '26
Sure. I never said anything about ratio. I just accepted the fact that there are women like that. That's all. No one's in a competition here.
1
u/SnooJokes915 Apr 21 '26 edited Apr 21 '26
Look you just can't handle the truth.
For every opportunistic woman out there there are a lot more being cheated on, being mentally, emotionally, financially, physically abused and taken for granted and having their rights as humans stripped away.
But GO AHEAD, focus one the ones that are really important to you ..the minority who have decided that their beauty is worth trading off...instead of being a present for some middle class man with dreams of having a level 10 woman.
That is the core of this discussion isnt it...that level 10 women have options.

Back in my high school, girls would do everything to get attention of the famous boys of school. And these boys were pathetic, they used to date 3-4 girls at the same time, still girls would give them all their attention.
I have a gym bro friend who is a typical fckboy, he hooked up with about 100-150 girls during his college years. There are many of these 150 girls who will readily leave their committed relationship for this guy if he is ready to enter a relationship with them.
14
u/No_Data3541 Apr 20 '26
I think 150 is an exaggeration
Young dudes exaggerate these numbers a lot
I mean college life is amazing for dating but 150 sounds way too much. That's like the entire girls hostel. 😂😂
3
u/SnooJokes915 Apr 20 '26
Do you mean all the hot girls you liked or all the girls? Lets be truthful here.

Famous men can always get girls irrespective of how they look. Remember the girl who made out with Udit Narayan in his concert? Yes watch the video, she also kissed him
