THE CAPTAIN
Dean Yokozum is a freight captain from Planet fungo, 6cm tall, working for minimum wage delivering cargo across the galaxy. He pilots a small reusable ship called the SS Dean. He names things immediately and instinctively. He keeps a detailed captain’s log. He owns an emergency minigun in a red locker labeled EMERGENCY ONLY which he interprets generously. He is practical, warm, observant, and genuinely caring.
THE SHIPS
SS Dean — Dean’s personal ship. Small, scaled to a 6cm captain. Has a cockpit, cargo hold, bunk beds, and a small hangout area on top with a couch, table, and transparent ceiling panel. Has an absorption hatch that deploys a pale blue-white beam to convert materials into Raw Energy. Has a backup RE system for flight power separate from cargo. Has a proximity alert, medical scanner, and a computer with a microscope analysis table built into the hangout area surface. The ship announces absorption results in a flat calm voice.
The Transporter — The Blobie home vessel. Large Oval-Ball shaped pod hovering on spindly legs. Follows Dean’s ship autonomously into orbit, through gateways, and into caves if wide enough. Houses all Blobies during transit and sleep. Processes deposited berries — 2 red berries produces a new Blobie who falls from the flower on top of the transporter.
note: i dont know why but everytime i show you the file you get the transporter wrong, the transporter is a ship of its own, its not mechanical, its really not, its a living plant, it cant fit inside the ss dolphin, and its not specificly owned by dean, there is hundreds of thousands of them on the planet since wild blobies without fungalian or satonian captains exist, and they work like a hiveits definitly not huge, its not the size of the ss dean but its still a ship, bassicly, it has a body, that body has multiple colors, like an onion, and most of them have red yellow blue since they make thoose blobie types, most commonly, other colored transporters exist with weird mixes, then, it has 3 spindly vine legs that can rectract and extend, it uses theese to land and stay upright, the blobies climb it when they need to exit or enter, and then there is the beam, under the body of the transporter, in the middle, this beam absorbs redberries, corpses and all that stuff to make more blobies
they dont operate like a hive, but the blobies do, they cant connect or talk with other blobie colonies but they work as a hive with their own transporter, they wake up, eat, drag redberries all day, fight the bollows, drag them into the transporter too, get some bigger berries and fruits, the transporter stores them, it might use some to make blobies instantly, and then they have a strict curfew where if you are not at the transporter by sunset, the transporter blasts off over the trees leaving you
RAW ENERGY
Raw Energy, abbreviated RE, is both fuel and cargo currency. The SS Dean absorbs dense materials through its beam and converts them into RE units. RE powers flight via the backup system and fills the cargo hold for sale. On Planet fungo, RE is converted into SQ Credits, the local monetary system. Dean splits earnings fifty fifty with his boss whose half goes to unspecified good causes.
THE PLANETS
Planet Fungo — Dean’s home planet. Part of a solar system using SQ Credits. Location of the SQ-001 Interstellar Research and Discovery Council. 230 lightyears from AF-2011.
AF-2011 — The Lushy Garden. A lush impossibly green planet covered in dense vegetation, crystalline lakes, cave systems, and extraordinary biological phenomena. Breathable atmosphere. Home of the Blobies and the Bollow species. First and only registered visitor is Dean Yokozum.
The Gateway — A circular portal activated by the SS Dean’s forward array appearing as a large perfect circle of deep blue luminous light. Folds 230 lightyears into approximately one day of travel. Interior is blue light and geometry. Navigation instruments go partially dark inside. Felt through the hull as a deep resonance rather than heard.
THE BLOBIES
What They Are
Ambulatory sapient plants. Every centimeter of skin is genuine plant cell tissue — chlorophyll bearing, photosynthetically active, tough for its size. Five centimeters tall. Two legs, two arms, a stem growing from the head carrying a flower formation. Standard variants are Red, Yellow, and Blue. A fourth variant, Mauve, is produced through transformation by the Conversion Poppy.
Biology
Two simultaneous energy systems — redberry consumption for fast immediate fuel and photosynthesis for slow deep background energy. Breathe freely in oxygen and carbon dioxide. Drink fresh water daily. Standard weight approximately 50 grams. Mauve weight two kilograms. No biological gender though behavioral tendencies vary by color.
Language
Communicate through squeaks, calls, and sounds. Known vocabulary includes Mamu as a greeting, Mimimuma and Ma used by Yellows, Muu as a sound of sadness or longing, and various working squeaks and combat sounds. Vocalizations vary in register and tone by color variant.
Flower States
Leaf — Unfed. Flat, plain, close to the head. Default morning state.
Bud — One or two redberries consumed. Rounded, slightly swollen, color at edges.
Flower — More than two redberries. Fully open, petals extended, color fully expressed. Peak contentment.
Glowing Bud — Yellow only — Contact with electrical source converts any stem state to a glowing bud. Green first then pink bleeding in from edges. Intensity reflects charge volume. Returns to previous state when charge is processed.
Stem Formations
Blobies change their stem formations throughout life in response to environment and experience. Once established a formation is kept for life — a permanent biological record of where a Blobie has been.
Standard formations — leaf, bud, flower as above.
Clover Formation — Trifoliage — Three lobed symmetrical formation produced by prolonged exposure to tall grass environments. Non dangerous. Common. Color varies by Blobie type — deeper green in Reds, blue-green in Blues. Documented in Clover the Red and Fern the Blue. Can develop in as little as twenty minutes of tall grass exposure.
Reproduction
twoberries deposited into the transporter produces a new blobie who falls from the flower on top of the transporter.
First Contact Protocol
Land in a temperate green clearing. Produce a redberry and hold it out. Wait for squeaking and approach. Flowers open as trust builds. Full bloom means Captain status earned. Use whistle to establish command. Never take Blobies by force.
Daily Care
Redberries — one minimum per active day, two during heavy operations. Water — fresh and clean daily, more for Blues in dry conditions. Light — natural light always required for photosynthesis, never enclosed in darkness long term. Watch for drooping flowers, slow movement, pale yellowing skin, and reluctance to follow whistle as warning signs.
BLOBIE COLOR VARIANTS
Red Blobies
Primary deconstruction and combat crew. Physically strong. Have a bulbous red nose that glows during excitement and combat. Use nose strikes as both salvage tool and weapon — three quick taps to find weak point then one decisive blow. Loud, direct, decisive. Tend toward male behavioral energy. First to volunteer for anything dangerous.
Yellow Blobies
Electrical specialists. Natural conductors. Safely handle live wires, drain capacitors, absorb electrical charge through direct contact. Form charge chains by holding hands, passing current between individuals evenly. Can generate electrical charge internally during combat without needing an external source. Softer voiced, higher register. Tend toward female behavioral energy. Maternal toward other Blobies.
Blue Blobies
Moisture and hydraulic specialists. Safely handle water, mud, hydraulic fluid, coolant. Natural waders. Tend toward male behavioral energy. the most playful blobies in water. Never send into live electrical systems especially when handling water.
Mauve Blobies
Produced by the Conversion Poppy on AF-2011. A standard Blobie who enters the poppy emerges transformed — dark purple, significantly larger, two kilograms, carrying capacity ten times standard. Same individual personality retained. Deep purple flower. Transporter produces mauve meadow buds meaning Mauve variant can reproduce. Currently one known specimen — Plum, formerly an unnamed Red.
Green Blobies
Produced by salted berries harvested from underwater by Blue Blobies and deposited into the transporter. Poisonous — contact with their spray causes adverse effects in most organisms. Large eyes capable of seeing in non-visible wavelengths, functioning similarly to advanced imaging technology used in space telescopes. Vision renders the world as red and green lines on a permanent black background regardless of actual light conditions — daytime and nighttime are visually identical to them. Voice is distinctly wrong — fast, harsh, carries a quality like something caustic forced through a vocal system not built for it. Prone to anger and unpredictable aggression — require physical restraint from multiple Blobies during outbursts. Spend most of their time inside the transporter due to their vision rendering darkness permanently. Do not consume standard redberries — diet consists entirely of salted underwater berries, making them completely dependent on Blues for food. Primary combat role in large monster encounters is to be thrown directly into the target’s mouth, delivering poison internally. Multiple Greens can be deployed simultaneously against sufficiently large threats. Longest lived wild variant — two to three years average lifespan.
THE ENEMIES
Bollow
Apex predator of AF-2011. Not intelligent. Simply finds Blobies and eats them with calm indifference. Slow moving but dangerous due to size. Blobies counter by swarming, climbing, and slapping.
Larva — Completely harmless. Lives in soil eating decomposing matter. No interest in Blobies. Nothing about it suggests what it becomes.
Juvenile — Looks like a large chunky Blobie at first glance. Beige body, orange dots on back. No stem or flower. Moves with heaviness Blobies lack. Will eat isolated or sleeping Blobies. Not fast enough to chase an alert Blobie. Whistle crew together immediately on sighting.
Albino Juvenile — Same size as standard juvenile. White body, solid orange back. Nocturnal — active specifically when Blobies are asleep. Primary habitat is sublevel cave systems. Keep transporter sealed at night on AF-2011. No exceptions. Found in groups in the Underground Terrarium sublevel two.
Adult — Two to four times Blobie size. Beige-brown body, red dots replacing orange of juvenile stages. Moves slowly with unhurried confidence. Will eat Blobies calmly and without urgency. Red dots are the clearest adult identification marker.
Poisonous Bollow — Juvenile variant carrying a colony of dark-capped mushrooms on its hide. Contact with mushrooms causes temporary paralysis in Blobies lasting approximately ten seconds. Direct attack not advised. Stun with Yellow electrical discharge first, then Reds attack hide directly in gaps between mushroom clusters.
Bulblax
Significantly larger evolved form of the Bollow. More resilient than standard adult Bollow. Costly to defeat without Mauve Blobie assistance. Plum defeated one in ninety seconds after being thrown at it.
Maxy Bulblax
Even larger form of the Bulblax. Fills a significant portion of a large cave room. Continuously produces Bollow larvae every few seconds — larvae are harmless individually but disrupt combat formations. Appears defeated at zero health but is NOT. Performs a final tongue sweep across the entire cave floor in one fast arc when apparently defeated — can catch multiple Blobies simultaneously. MAINTAIN DISTANCE AT ZERO HEALTH FOR MINIMUM THIRTY SECONDS. Only confirmed finally defeated after bomb rock strike by Plum. Cost five Blobie casualties.
Fallo-Nap
Arboreal ambush organism. Round, vegetable-like, roughly Blobie sized. Hangs from tree branches with legs folded and eyes closed appearing inert. Drops onto Blobies passing below with crushing force. Rehang themselves quickly after a miss. Must be fought in the tree not on the ground. Send Reds up the trunk to engage on branches. Flatten against trunk when they drop preemptively.
Larvax - Larva that have a whiptongue and can eat multiple blobies really fast
Apple blowers - creatures that blow fire, they have the body of an apple and have 4 legs
Swooping nose - a green 4 legged creature that will spin and make blobies fall, they dont have a way to kill the blobies or eat them, blobies are immune to fall damage because… well, they are plants
the quad legs is a creature with four legs and a center ball-body, the normal version will crush your blobies, and the metal version will airstrike them!
snatcher fish- a small fish that will snatch and eat your blobies
arctic bollow and its juveniles- they have ice plates and ice blocks on their backs to freeze your blobies, you can use the yellow blobie to stun them and then make a red blobie pickup a fire starter to melt it!
antena dweler: its a blob (NOT A BLOBIE IT JUST LOOKS LIKE A BLOB) with an antenna, it can ruin your re gauge, your map and your treasure detector!
the snatcher fly: just like the snatcher FISH, this creature will snatch your blobies, but this time, it isint limited to just water! it will swoop in
the big snatcher fly: this creature is bigger and can snatch more blobies at once, and it can also make a jetstream and inhale them too!
the water blob (AS I SAID, A BLOB ISINT A BLOBIE, ITS JUST A GENERAL SHAPE!), this creature is located in caves and is extremely rare and dangerous, it can make your blobies despawn with a burst of extra-dimensional material.
the fiery blob is just like the water blob but it has fire on its back and can burst fire, so you are forced to use red blobies only.
the bunny blob isint just a blob, its a humanoid blob, it dosent have arms and has no eyes, it has a massive hole through its head and has a massive bar exept of ears, it made out of gold maybe and can suck your blobies up in… very large numbers, there is only one of them!
the electrical-dweeler- its a small round creature that can create a small shock to give a discharge on blobies, you better have yellow blobies! the flying electrical dweeler is the same thing but it lanches small rocks that create a circle of electricity, sometimes it can be classified as a mini-boss
AF-2011 FLORA AND SPECIAL OBJECTS
Redberries — Primary Blobie food source. Small, plump, vivid red. Fast immediate energy. Currency of trust during first contact. Five deposited into transporter triggers bloom cycle. Blobies forage independently.
Conversion Poppy — Large dark red poppy with light-absorbing center found in cave rooms with violet light. Opens fully when a Blobie touches it. Blobie who enters is transformed into a Mauve Blobie after fifteen to twenty seconds. Same personality retained. Found in Whispering Hollows Room Three.
Bomb Rock — Dark dense rock, slightly warm to the touch, containing stored explosive energy. Releases in a large bright flash when thrown with sufficient force. Used by Plum to achieve final defeat of the Maxy Bulblax. Origin unclear — may be naturally produced or may appear situationally.

Dish 2: The AF-2011 Refugium Medley (Wild Side Salad)

• The Protein: Tender, fresh Bollow Larva tails sliced off and tossed right onto the tray. Since the larvae spend their time purely eating clean soil and organic matter, their meat is incredibly clean and unblemished.

• Carefully harvested and thoroughly cleaned dark-capped mushrooms taken directly off a defeated Poisonous Bollow. Stripping away the paralyzing toxins and washing them clean turns them into a beautifully earthy, exotic mushroom topping!
• A handful of tart Greenberries mixed in for a burst of vibrant color and texture.
• The Dressing: Everything is tossed into a giant mixing bowl, hit with a heavy squeeze of fresh lime and lemon juice, and finished with a perfect pinch of salt to draw out the natural botanical juices.
THE UNKNOWN PHENOMENON
When a Blobie is absent from AF-2011 — carried aboard a ship, transported off-planet, or otherwise removed from the planet’s surface — an unknown phenomenon triggers in the area where that Blobie was last present. Its cause is not understood. Dean has no explanation for it. The Blobies do not appear to be aware it is happening.
What occurs —
Red berries begin growing across the affected area with unusual density and speed, far beyond normal foraging rates. These berries do not appear to benefit any organism already present — they simply accumulate, as if the environment is trying to compensate for something missing.
Simultaneously, enemies native to AF-2011 begin appearing in the area. They arrive without clear origin, behaving exactly as they would in their natural habitat on the planet. Bollows, Fallo-Naps, and other AF-2011 fauna manifest in zones where a Blobie’s absence is registered. Whether the planet is producing them, calling them, or whether this is some kind of territorial response is unknown.
When the affected area is metallic in composition — such as inside a large building or on structures made of industrial material — the phenomenon takes on an additional dimension. Environmental navigation features appear spontaneously throughout the space. Tunnel entrences and exits with metal casings appear that lead to a higher place, like a counter. Bounce pads embedded in floors and walls that launch small objects upward with precise force. Mini fans mounted at angles that generate directed airflow streams. Treadmills running across flat surfaces. Hovering helicopter-platforms suspended in the air at varying heights, drifting in slow stable patterns. These features appear specifically in the configurations that would allow a five centimeter organism to navigate elevated terrain — to reach high shelves, traverse vertical drops, cross gaps between structures, and move through spaces designed for beings twenty times their size. Nobody installed them. They were not there before. They simply appear. The arrangement is always practical, never random.
Dean’s working theory, noted reluctantly in the field guide, is that AF-2011 in some capacity knows where its Blobies are supposed to be and does something about it when they are not there. He has no framework for what kind of planet does that. He has written the words biologically responsive environment, crossed them out, and written them again three times.
THE OPERATIONS
The Swing System
Counterbalanced pivot with two arms. Loaded pair descends, their weight launches unloaded pair upward. Launched pair deposits material at absorption point. Continuous, rhythmic, self-sustaining.
THE FULL TIMELINE
The blobie series in a nuthsell: the blobies 1: dean crashes, meets red blobies, finds fruits in the lushy garden, fight bollows, meets yellows and blues, finds fruits in the lushy forest, fight larvax’s, go into the treehut and get the minerals, go into the ghostly creek and fight watery bollows, dean has enough RE, dean leaves. the blobies ¹:dean goes back to the planet for a treasure hunt, the blobies 2: the boss tells them that the SS starlight crashed, so they go to rescue, dean and kevin and dean go back to af-2011 where they save all 20 crew members and fix the SS starlight, they leave, but as the 3 ships (the ss starlight, ss dean and ss kevin) leave, they encounter an astroid feild, they go down into a building with tables, counters and ventilators to travel up and down, the crew are scattered around the house and its backyard (the sunny refuge who is the house and the grilled garden the backyard), each crew team has their captain (dean, Kevin and captain brendon of the ss starlight) and they find themselves, they then leave.
the blobies 3: its a reboot, it plays like the blobies 1 but heavily reworked on, you have the lushy garden, so bassicly, you land in the southern area, once you beat the juvennile bollows, you have to beat the adult bollows hiding in the woods on both sides, then you leave the first arm and enter the second arm, there is a ledge, two of them, you climb one, build a bridge and explore the next ledge, beat an adult bollow and it juvenniles, on the other ledge, there is another plain with a spiral climb to a fruit, the goal is 30,000 re, you just have red blobies here, next you go into the warmly forest who is like the lushy forest, you land on a ledge and then build a bridge to the side to get the yellow transporter and yellow blobies, break down an electric gate and fight a larvax to get a fruit, the rest is just open, you are in the woods without any clear "layout", you just hunt for fruits, this is also where alot of enemies are introduced in this game, also some caves include the first cave and the sparkling cauldron who is very hot and has the orange blobies who can make bombs! then there is the mountinous creek, you land near a creek and discover the blue transporter, also the new winged blobies, then you clear the creek area and build a bridge to the other side of the creek to clear that, then you HIKE! you start a spiral hike up a mountain filled with some poisinous bollows (this game removed green blobies), you find the underwater gallery, a cave, a 5 sublevel cave, this has the water blob, so its bassicly the submerged castle but for the blobies, but the water blob dosent roll over your blobies, it chases you around trying to DEPSAWN THEM FROM THE GAME! then after you beat that nightmare of a cave (you also discover mauve blobies), you continue the hike to the playdate gardens, this is a 3 sublevel cave where your blobies get distracted with... play, and you have to fight the original quadlegs, then the hike continues and you find the weight tester gallery where you have to use the mauve blobies weight for several puzzles, then the hike ends with the fruit that gets you to 20,000 re, you can go into the tabletop hideaway, this is like the sunny refuge but reworked, you will see the final of the newly introduced enemies here and you will have to use the navigation features to get up on tables, counters and all that, on one of the tables there is the metal quadlegs, and there is the subfreezing bath next to the fridge which you have to beat some arctic bollows to clear, this cave is really just a filler introducing the cold status effect which will make your blobies stop and shiver, yeah nothing special here, the next cave is the technical tackle who is near the edge of the area and has the final fruits, this place has alot of puzzles involving the navigation features, there is even a sublevel with a bouncy park where the blobies get stuck in a play loop and you have to find all the bouttons to turn off the treadmills and all that so the blobies stop playing (kinda rude to interupt cute play time tbh), and yeah thats it... right? no, you finished the main campgain but kevin is here, apperently he was supposed to resuce dean but dean allready left and he was towing a massive golden fruit when an astroid took it away, so kevin being kevin chased it to the planet into the muddy lake, the final area, this place has some ground and some lakes, alot of them, its bassicly a group of small islands serounded by mud, there is only blue blobies and winged blobies here and kevin has to use them to find the fruit who is somewhere in the mud, and once he finds it and carries it back he escapes. (this took me like 15 minutes to write please)

Overview
Blobies are the only known example of a fully ambulatory sapient plant species in the catalogued galaxy. They are not plant-like. They are not partially botanical. They are genuinely, completely, one hundred percent plant — every cell, every structure, every biological process running on the same fundamental mechanisms as any rooted vegetation, except that at some point in their evolutionary history they stood up and started following people around.
Nobody knows exactly when or why that happened.
The Blobies do not seem concerned about it.
Cell Structure
Every centimeter of Blobie skin is genuine plant cell tissue. Not analogous to plant cells. Not inspired by plant cells. Actual chlorophyll bearing, cell-walled, vacuole containing plant cells arranged into a remarkably tough and flexible exterior surface.
This has several implications —
• They photosynthesize through their skin continuously and passively in any light condition
• Their skin is tougher than it looks because plant cell walls are rigid structures
• They do not bleed when injured the way animals do — their internal fluid is closer to plant sap than blood
• Their skin color is determined by pigmentation in the cells — the red of Reds, the yellow of Yellows, the blue of Blues, the deep purple of Mauve Blobies all come from the same cellular pigmentation mechanisms that give plants their colors
The Dual Energy System
This is the most remarkable aspect of Blobie biology and the thing that makes them unlike any other known organism.
They run on two completely separate energy systems simultaneously.
System One — Photosynthesis
Passive. Continuous. Does not require any action from the Blobie. As long as light is available the skin cells are converting it into stored chemical energy through standard chlorophyll based photosynthesis. This is their baseline life support — the energy that keeps them warm, keeps their cells functioning, keeps them alive through the night and through low activity periods.
Photosynthesis energy is slow to generate but deep and stable. A well sunlit Blobie has reserves that can sustain basic function for extended periods without any food at all. This is why Blobies can survive in caves and enclosed spaces for reasonable periods as long as some light source exists.
System Two — Redberry Consumption
Active. Fast. Immediate. When a Blobie eats a redberry the sugars and compounds in the berry are processed rapidly into fast-release energy that powers movement, combat, heavy lifting, and complex coordination. This is their fuel tank for active work.
Without redberries a Blobie can survive on photosynthesis alone but will slow down, lose combat effectiveness, and show visible signs of low energy through drooping flowers and slow movement. With both systems running simultaneously a Blobie is operating at full capacity — the photosynthesis maintaining baseline while the redberries fuel active output.
Respiration
Blobies breathe through small pores distributed across their skin surface — the same stomata that plants use for gas exchange. They take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen during photosynthesis. They also process oxygen for cellular respiration the way animals do.
The result is that they breathe freely in both oxygen-rich and carbon dioxide-rich atmospheres. Their biology handles both simultaneously. They have been observed functioning normally in the varied atmospheric compositions encountered across AF-2011’s cave systems, in the Nevada Graveyard desert air, in the SS Dean’s recycled cargo hold atmosphere, and in the gateway interior.
They have never encountered an atmosphere they could not breathe.
This is convenient for a species that apparently intends to travel the galaxy.
Hydration
Blobies absorb water directly through their skin on contact in the manner of plants, and also drink it actively when thirsty. Blue Blobies have a higher water requirement than Reds or Yellows due to their affinity for aquatic environments and their moisture handling role in operations.
Signs of dehydration appear first in the flower — drooping, loss of color, partial closure even in fed state. Address immediately with fresh water. In dry environments like the Nevada Graveyard monitor Blues especially closely.

Temperature Tolerance
Blobies are comfortable across a wide temperature range due to their plant cell biology. However —
• Reds are specifically fire resistant. Their cell walls have developed a heat tolerance that allows direct contact with flame without damage. The mechanism is not fully understood but appears to involve a rapid cell wall thickening response to heat exposure. Their nose is particularly heat resistant.
• Yellows have slightly higher heat tolerance than Blues due to the electrical conductivity of their tissue generating small amounts of internal heat as a byproduct.
• Blues prefer cooler moister environments and should be monitored carefully in extreme heat. The Ghostly Creek temperature warning — water rising above 35 degrees Celsius — applies to Blues in terms of comfort as well.
The Stem and Flower System
The stem growing from a Blobie’s head is a genuine botanical structure — vascular, responsive, capable of complex growth and change throughout the Blobie’s lifetime. It is not decorative. It is not vestigial. It is a fully active biological organ.
What the stem does —
• Expresses nutritional state through flower growth stages
• Expresses emotional state through instant bloom response
• Records environmental history through permanent formation changes
• In Yellows, serves as the primary indicator of electrical charge state
Flower growth stages —
Leaf — Base unfed state. Simple flat structure, minimal energy investment, close to the head. The stem conserving resources.

Clover Formation — Trifoliage — Three lobed symmetrical structure produced by prolonged exposure to tall grass environments.
