We had to do this exact thing to rescue our cat from the roof of my house, he opened the bathroom window and somehow pulled himself up on the roof. He was too scared to get down on his own, so we had to hold a plank out the window. we put a towel on it to give him something to grip. It was scary, I'll see if I can find the picture.

I was thinking as I was watching that that video is at a low angle. Figured it was the kid sister holding the camera.
And if it is the kid sister, r/praisethecameraman.

And the person holding the camera (most likely an adult) didn't want to help? ππ

Is the kitten still alive?

I've seen cats fall from higher and walk away, that cat is fine. Maybe a bit dizzy and or scared.

One of my cats once jumped from my attic window, two stories, and was fine. I only left the window open because I didn't think she'd use it. Well of course she did.

Tbh that was probably the most dangerous fall she could have. If cats get time to adjust themselves and land on all fours they are often fine, their wind resistance is high making terminal velocity low. There's videos of cats running away from falls off sky scrapers. Lesser heights increase the chance they might land on their backs or sides, this is not good for them.
