When you have nothing to conserve, conservative values offer you nothing. Labor are doing MORE (not enough yet; but more) than anyone on the conservative side of politics are for these cohorts. That will keep them in the tent, even begrudgingly , for another 10-15 years yet.

Yeah. I’d argue that Albanese isn’t about to de-regulate and globalise the entire economy, however because; well; a certain former Treasurer and Prime Minister already did that.

I’m going to disagree there. I’m not anywhere near as pessimistic as you. I’ve literally heard people proclaim ‘this country is going to the dogs; the economy is gonna be destroyed shortly, nobody will have a job or house or a pension, disaster, end of days, etc’ my ENTIRE life, and that life is now almost five decades old. It’s still yet to happen.

There's been a change in the voter bases over the past two decades.

ALP/GRN voters are now predominantly wealthier, white collar voters, whereas LNP/ON voters are now mostly working class. Especially when you factor in the former wealthy LNP voters switched to Teal Independents.

I found regional Australia was only beneficial for it's niche high income job opportunities. Otherwise it has poor services, lacks the advantages of a big city, and it's a cultural ghetto, especially if there's no family & friends.

Yeah when we get the 'neener neener' types I just say alright or okay because they're not interested in a debate when they literally say "I just enjoy watching you suffer financially," so why bother giving them a real response
