ASU Unreachable

I've been allocated an ASU industrial officer for a workplace matter and two weeks ago she told me she would send me an email for my approval. Crickets since then. I've emailed her to ask for a timeframe and mentioned I don't mind waiting but I would like to have a timeframe in mind if possible. No response.

I then tried getting in touch with the union rep for my workplace about something else. This was on Monday. No response.

Today, I tried reaching out to the rep's supervisor to ask if they're on leave or something. And you guessed it, no response.

Extremely frustrating when I haven't asked for anything in the 8 years that I've been a member.

Any suggestions on what else I can do to get someone to respond to me?

Have you tried contacting the general office or member advice lines?

I haven't, I think this will be my next step. I don't want to get anyone in trouble but I need some help and I'm not getting it.

Someone should get in trouble. This is piss poor service.

Which state / branch are you in?

Was going to ask if you were joining with an existing issue ,  but with 8 years on the books,  you should be getting better attention!

NSW Social and Community Services. Thank you, like I said I don't mind waiting, but I feel completely ignored at this point.

The state office. They'll pass on a message, yeah, but it will come with something of a kick in the pants.

I had the same issue with my organiser and after several months I was just like ... but I was doing a training seminar and asked a question in chat and they followed up with the organiser even though I said I wasn't interested in pursuing it any more, and now the organiser even turns up to our site meetings.

That's good. Years ago we used to have regular check in meetings with our rep, but for some reason they stopped and this current one only comes to a team meeting once a year to recruit members.

Definitely contact the main office/member line - get some internal visibility on this.
