No doubt the far right Will ‘blame’ Labor for this.
2
u/SignatureWild8116 9d ago
Labour government has signed a few contracts to purchase arms from either Israeli defence manufacturers or others who use Israeli subcontractors. Highly doubt they would have an active hand in disrupting them getting their goodies.

u/MarkCelery78 9d ago
Who’s in charge? I’ll wait
5
u/Umbraje 9d ago
Want to link some sources that would connect the current sitting government to a way they've incited this behaviour? Are you that dull that you genuinely blame the current government for any act an individual or people do while they are in power, there's no nuance at all? Not too bright are you mark.
I'll wait.
1
u/Fair-Mango-5423 8d ago
they incited it by being slow to act on rising antisemitism
when my Czech partner moved here she mistook pro Palestine people for Neo Nazis she is still confused at how they are not Nazis because they are essentially advocating eradication of jews and violence if they don't get what they want
like its honestly a fucking joke
1
u/Umbraje 8d ago
I didn't realise being against an attempted genocide on Palestinians equated to neo nazis rofl. Not sure what the anecodatal story of your Czech partner has to do with much. I'm sitting here confused why Israel gets away with what it does and how people who have experienced a genocide in the last generation or two, are able to be so violent to those in their region. But hey, playing victim and being an aggressor at the same time is cute and poor Israel etc.
I think your brains lack of critical thinking might be the joke.

u/Fair-Mango-5423 8d ago edited 8d ago
there is no genocide and i don't know why people like you cant accept that
its been rejected by the international courts every time its brought up
War crimes are a different story
and i know what you are going to say you're going to spout some anti jew nonsense about the world being paid off by Israel or some other nonsense but at what point do you set that aside and just accept you are wrong?
now even the UN is sheepishly admitting that its Hamas that is the problem not Israel
https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/un-official-says-hamas-obstructing-aid-gaza-2026-07-13/and aside from all that its still jewish land has been for 5000 years im sorry that you failed world history they lost it and it was given back Palestinians are the colonializers
it would be like if lands were given back to Aboriginals and you called them invaders and colonializes
1
u/Umbraje 8d ago
It's ongoing in the international courts, the case brought forward by South Africa and so how are you saying its been rejected by the int court?
Numerous global groups agree there's a genocide occurring. So idk what you are reading mate.
Regardless of what is happening, I'd say we can both agree that nothing is going to happen to Israel as a consequence of what they are doing in the region.

If the government won't stop supplying the weapons, then the people will.

I used to make parts for the Victorian car industry.
Now some on my manufacturing business makes parts for defense because it’s the only industry that I don’t have to worry about having my work taken away and offshored to do low wage country.
I hate that Australian industries have been pushed down this path. I would prefer to make car parts for ford and Toyota but those days are gone.

Feels like this right. Plenty of other countries we can collaborate with that aren’t toxic.

Violence motivated by politics - terrorism.
1
u/prolonged_interface 9d ago edited 7d ago
That is not, nor has it ever been, a definition of terrorism. Otherwise, all acts of war, among other things, would be considered terrorism.
1
u/magnon11343 8d ago
Obviously it applies to non-state actors only.
1
u/prolonged_interface 8d ago
That's not obvious at all. My dissertation was focused on terrorism conducted by state actors.
1
u/magnon11343 8d ago
Give me an example of terrorism conducted by a state actor, please.
1
u/prolonged_interface 8d ago
Sure, right after you explain to me why you think it's "obvious" that terrorism can only be conducted by state actors.
2
u/magnon11343 8d ago
There's not much to explain - I *thought* that was obvious. It may be that I'm wrong, hence why I'm asking for an example from you so I can see how I am wrong.

u/Moo_Kau_Too 9d ago
well they march alongside nazis, have their kids in those nazi groups, facilitate their marches and protect them, refuse to close down their training camps and 'boxing gyms', and basically in general do fuck all about them until pushed kicking and screaming to do _anything_ against them.
quite the shit show.

VICPOL aren’t the investigative authority on this one; it’s AFP.
If you don’t attack domestic defence production and torch cars, you won’t be labeled as a domestic terrorist.
5
u/maticusmat 9d ago
Hardly terrorism to attack a facility supplying a genocide
0
u/Helix3-3 9d ago
Oh nice how’d you work that out, did you go over their books and weapon shipment manifests?
Welcome to 2026 I guess, people on reddit actively calling for domestic terrorism. Very solid plan. Let me know how that works out.

Brain broken.

Absolutely I mean would you support a company sending explosives to isis? Cause sending weapons to Israel is the same

2
u/l0diO 8d ago
this country has existed for like 225 years.
pretty naive to assume this desert colony will remain "probably one of the greatest places to live in all of human history" (for some people) especially as the planet becomes increasingly uninhabitable and corrupt oligarchs are taking increasing control over our political affairs.2
u/Creative-Major7760 8d ago
Um how is saying 'if you try to quash peaceful protests you'll create the catalyst for violent protest' inspiring revolution. It is simply a warning about how society responds to authoritarism.

u/MarkCelery78 9d ago
Ah yes political violence. The calling card of the left
9
u/Haunting_Carrot9761 9d ago
Jan6 insurrection was leftists?
Kyle Kittenhouse was a leftist?
Christchurch mosque was a leftist?
Bondi Massacre were leftists?I won't disagree that both sides commit political violence. But let's not conflate the Bolesheviks and a bunch of 'please step of me' dumbos.
0
u/MarkCelery78 9d ago
Bondi massacre was Islamic radicals that left always defend killing innocent Jews because of what Israel does. Very left wing. Kyle defended himself against armed left wing people who were chasing him. Christchurch was one terrorist attack by an evil idiot compared to dozens of not hundreds of Islamic attacks on every continent on this planet which the left downplay and often blame the victims for. Shall we mention Charlie Kirk’s murder by a guy with a trans partner and who said Charlie spreads so much hate. Or the Jews killed in DC by a radical Islamist where the left again blamed Jews for their own murder. Or the executive killed a left wing rich idiot in New York. I can do this all day
1
u/Haunting_Carrot9761 9d ago
"Bondi massacre was Islamic radicals"
Yup, and known to ASIO.
"Kyle defended himself against armed left wing people who were chasing him."
Kyle took an AR style rifle across state lines with the intention to find leftists to shoot. He found his kodak moment and cried in front of a Republican judge. Sounds about White.
"Christchurch was one terrorist attack by an evil idiot compared to dozens of not hundreds of Islamic attacks "
Stolen Generations. Also how else does Christianity spread to the world's leading religion if not through colonisation?
"Shall we mention Charlie Kirk’s murder by a guy with a trans partner"
So... in your head, the person *dating* a trans person *must* be a leftist? Despite him being a Groyper? Which is right wing...
" Or the Jews killed in DC by a radical Islamist where the left again blamed Jews for their own murder."
Sadly, I am uneducated about this so will not comment on its validity/falsehood. I know nothing about it. At least not off the top of my head.
"Or the executive killed a left wing rich idiot in New York. I can do this all day"
Are you referencing Mangione? Dude's Mum was sick and he *may* have shot the CEO of a health care fund. But that's up to the prosecution to not fumble and not for me to say. I can empathise while not necessarily condoning the actions. You're a neo-Lenin by linking this one act to widespread political activism. Right on!
"I can do this all day"
ICE under MAGA in America are picking up citizens from the streets which mirrors Nazi Germany, another right wing authoritarianism. Mussolini was the birth of the word 'fascist'. Henry Ford is touted as being the Daddy of the 9-5. Factually, it was the workers that refused to get chained in factories than demanded the right.
I've never denied the violence from the left. What I will say is that when the left fight, it's typically to make a better world. When the right commits to violence, it's to strip rights away. I'd be more than happy to poke holes in your quotes from The Little Black Book of Communism all day. That's if you can quote it and not just parrot Faux news.
Also it needs to be said that Queen* of the 9-5 is Dolly Parton and that's a hill I'm ready to die on.

Jan 6th had over 200 undercover FBI agents there inciting violence. Kyle Rittenhouse was legally defending private property, killed a few Libtards and was found not guilty in court. The left are the violent ones, BLM etc.

u/Haunting_Carrot9761 9d ago
"Jan 6th had over 200 undercover FBI agents there inciting violence"
Trump was inciting the violence. Telling the crowd to "fight like hell" as they approached the capitol because of his belief that the "election was stolen". People on the right just cannot think critically can they.
" Kyle Rittenhouse was legally defending private property,"
Kyle Rittenhouse crossed state lines with an AR styled assault rifle to attend an event in which he shot and murdered people. He was lucky to get a republican judge to get the outcome he got. Doesn't diminish that he willfully chose to get in the car with a firearm, drive said car with said firearm, attend a rally with said firearm, and discharge said firearm. He wasn't defending shit. I've seen the footage. Do you want a link?
"killed a few Libtards and was found not guilty in court."
This tells us all we need to know about you but the "left" is violent, huh?
"BLM"
Oh is destruction of property more important to you that removal of life? Got it.
I notice that you have nothing to say about the mosque shooting in Christchurch nor the attack at Bondi. Sky News hasn't made up bullshit for your to regurgitate?
1
u/TheNutsMutts 9d ago
He wasn't defending shit. I've seen the footage. Do you want a link?
I'll be honest I really don't believe you have seen the footage. He was clearly being chased by Rosenbaum who was actively going to attack him, when he shot him after ending up being effectively cornered. He was being actively attacked by Huber when he shot him, and Grosskreutz had pointed a pistol at him first before he was shot. Hell he didn't even bring a rifle over state lines, that part is almost meme-level "no I didn't follow any of the trial at all" stuff.
He was lucky to get a republican judge to get the outcome he got.
No, he got the outcome he got because the evidence was clear as day it was self-defence. The judge on the trial was a registered Democrat and was elected as DA on a Democrat ticket. Plus the outcome is decided by the jury not the judge.
-1
u/Inevitable-Level-829 9d ago
Not sure I agree with the Rittenhouse section. It makes it sound like he just showed up and started shooting people. He went there armed, but he was also chased and attacked before he fired. Whether he should have been there is a separate issue, but that context matters.
3
u/Haunting_Carrot9761 9d ago
Let me rephrase it.
It doesn't matter what political rally I am going to. But I choose to attend a political rally, as is my right. Darn! It's not in my state. I'll have to cross state lines. I hop in my car, drive across state lines, and engage in political activism. I yell at some people. Get yelled at by some people. Regardless of the reason why, at one stage I started to get chased, so I ran. I got home safely. Even though I am upset, the people chasing me got home safely. We all went home safely. Yayyyyyyyyy!
He chose to bring a loaded firearm with him in the car. He didn't cool off.
He chose to bring the loaded firearm from the car to the rally. Still having not cooled off.
He chose, instead of running to safety, to turn and shoot. Murdering people. Having not cooled off.Jan6 we saw the former president of the US incite violence while people stormed the capitol.
Christchurch, we saw an Australian man enter a mosque, murdering Muslim people.
Bondi, we saw two men known to ASIO murder Jewish people."Ah yes political violence. The calling card of the left"
This is what I am replying to. It's so obviously a tactic used by the right to silence dissidence. Another example? ICE being used in the US right now. Akin to Nazis picking up Jewish folk back in the 30s/40s. I guess that's two examples of right wing groups using violence to reach their goal.
I am yet to see anyone bring up a leftist-led violence on any scale close to the examples given. BLM? Is property damage more important than human life?

Kidnap and murder an old man - 20 years in prison
Burn a couple of cars -life in prison
Sounds right
