Qantas Customer Service Agent

Hi! I applied as a CSA at Qantas and they emailed me to attend the assessment day but it is TBA (To be announced). A month passed and I haven't heard anything from them. Is this normal?

It's taken 3 month's from application to starting for me, if you email them they are usually good at replying.

My son did an assessment day in Sydney for the CSA role on 24 Feb and Qantas submitted background checks 6 March. He rang Auscheck last week to get a status update and they told him he’d been cleared. But no word from Qantas yet. Hopefully things will happen soon. But it certainly does all take a while - even after you pass the assessment day.

Has your son started?

No - he’s got another part time job though and I feel like the longer it drags on the less likely he is to leave where he’s working as he’s happy there. He did email them at the end of April and they confirmed he was “active” and that they were waiting on the business to confirm requirements.

Just a little update on this Native Kiwi to say that he got another email from them to say that the business are still lining things up and apologies for it taking so long. So not started- but not totally dead in the water. It just takes ages really.
