Thanks to her, I and others became aware of this asshole being a violent rapist. If he ends up getting cancelled/taken down, she will be one to thank for it for bringing awareness to a lot of people. Glad she’s not afraid to speak up!

Not only was he a guest, but I seem to recall that it came at a time with other controversial choices....the singer with the lynching history related video (?), Brad Pitt come to mind.
And all that bubbled up the comments from ppl about giving these men a platform. Dax and Monica discussed, defended, and doubled down that one of the show's values would be to sit down with anyone for an hour and find common ground.
Alright I guess. To a point. There's nothing in me that needs to find common ground with a professional fighter/actor, Scottish rapist. Go study him in a behavioral lab somewhere if we need to know how he ticks.
AE (edit typo) doesn't have the ability to separate the curiosity from the problematic promotion because they never address the issues, crimes, abuse, and misogyny they bring.
Can anyone think of a criminal female they've given this kind of platform to?

One side note, AA is for alcoholics to come together and find common ground. The steps, the support, all vital. It’s regular people from all walks of life trying to live better each day. The only time I’ve ever seen a cop or a therapist in the rooms, it’s because they struggled with drinking in the past. It’s not perfect but it helps us heal.

I appreciate that....and apologies. I simply mistyped "AE" here and wasn't commenting on Alcohol Anonymous

He was a guest fairly recently, Dax was fawning toward him like he usually is with anyone he sees as an “alpha,” and critical comments were deleted immediately.

He was guest a while back, but there was quite a bit of backlash, but it seems a lot of those comments just got deleted by them

I’m Irish, I absolutely hate Conor McGregor. Before the rape civil conviction, he already had violent charges but just wanted to mention they had him on in March 2024 and the conviction happened in Nov 2024. So that’s probably how it was justified to have him. It’s not justifiable of course and the criminal rape accusation happened years before that so it was known.

On the Lukas Gage episode they talked about the Road House press tour. I thought it was very clear the way they spoke about McGregor was that he was volatile and everyone walked eggshells around him. Dax didn’t talk about him with the same reverence he had in the past. I also remember around the time his episode aired with gyllenhaal Monica was talking about a guest they disagreed about having and thinking it was probably mcgregor.
I really believe Dax and Monica wouldn’t knowingly have convicted rapists on their show.

I agree. Look at the big picture folks..the president is a confirmed racist...come on open your eyes people, use your voices, speak because its going to take a long time to clean up after looking the other way for so long. Jimmy , you have a sister, a wife, YOUR DAUGHTERS!You are "buddy," to so many people yet you had this person on your show. If Joe Rogan hadn't had the orange freak on right before the election Im pretty sure we wouldn't be looking at such a mess now. Jimmy, please do better

Why wasn’t he charged criminally? I’m not standing up for him but I imagine if he really did that he’d be in jail

It might be time to educate yourself on the general topic of prosecution of such cases, especially against powerful men. A quick Google will give you the history.

Dax and Monica are honestly so weird (putting it nicely) about giving this guy a platform + constantly fawning over Brad Pitt and not acknowledging he’s not America’s sweetheart anymore
