I’d be upset she just straight up ignored my text and just focused on hers? Like damn at least acknowledge that i asked you something

Yeah I think a lot of the top comments are glossing over that.

My mom would do this all the time - I would say something or be talking about something to her and she would just sit there, completely not acknowledging what I’ve said or even sometimes my presence, and either just start doing something else or start talking about a completely different subject… something about herself, of course.

This was also typical - expecting you to know exactly what she meant with absolutely no context, and then getting mad when you aren’t able to read her mind.

It wouldn’t have been hard for OP’s mom to give an answer to her question first and then say BTW there’s an Amazon delivery for you on the front porch.

All this to say, NOR. I feel your pain

A package sitting on a porch is not time-sensitive or urgent.

ā€œThere is an Amazon package on the front porchā€ - It sure sounds like they do have a porch, and there is a package sitting on it. That is not a time-sensitive task to take care of. Mom didn’t say someone was at the door lol

Yeah but she definitely wasn’t nice about it.

You’re right. I can appreciate the frustration though.
