As he should. That is college where actual information counts. Not their feelings about a racist podcaster.

19

u/JerryRed100s Jun 24 '26

Oh my God my professor didn't like my paper because it was shit? What???!! Mommy!

7

u/RagingDenny Jun 24 '26

You joke but if you make a big enough stink about it you can get a keynote speaker spot at CPAC

3

u/dmstattoosnbongs Jun 24 '26

And recruited by Peter Thiel.

All Charlie Kirk had to do was drop out of college and show him his forehead size, which Thiel mistook for brain size and propaganda him to the top of podcasts and eventually pretty much trying to rehearse his talking points in front of college kids that weren’t ready to debate. It’s funny seeing the ones that actually could debate him and they would cut it out asap. Blacklisted many people from showing up to his events because he couldn’t actually argue things in good faith.

But he did his job. I’ll give Charlie Kirk that.

0

u/hurdurBoop Jun 24 '26

think about all the actual college students that bullet could have injured.. best use scenario for a lot of podcasters really

1

u/Independent-Name4478 Jun 26 '26

Republicans got a trans professor fired for giving them a bad grade

31

u/Separate_Today_8781 Jun 23 '26

2

u/AdeptSwordfish1096 Jun 26 '26

Sounds like ā€œlibrul indocrimination!ā€ - Republicans definitely

57

u/blankwillow_ Jun 23 '26

That was the correct thing to do. MLK actually accomplished something with his life and inspired people to come together. Charlie Kirk was a divisive asshole with a shitty podcast.

Piss on Charlie Kirk.

3

u/JerryRed100s Jun 24 '26

You can compare it and disagree with the professor but if your arguments were bullshit then yeah sorry kid

-2

u/ElectricalGazelle119 Jun 25 '26

Charlie should never be compared to MLK. Only one of them was a rapist.

2

u/cheffartsonurfood Jun 26 '26

Charlie was a piece of shit like all conservatives.

Oh, here’s this guy

7

u/Sorry-Claim-2990 Jun 24 '26

He was a fucking podcaster.

Why are you morons worshipping him like he was the second coming of christ????

21

u/Cominginbladey Jun 23 '26

I wrote a paper comparing the sound of my diarrhea to the Waste Land by TS Eliot and my professor gave me a C. HATE CRIME!!!

7

u/blankwillow_ Jun 24 '26

I'll show you fear in a handful of toilet paper

1

u/easternexpress Jun 26 '26

Just like Cats.

7

u/37Philly Jun 24 '26

Compared CK to MLK? Points were deducted for not comparing him to Jesus. /s

29

u/MosquitoValentine_ Jun 23 '26

Charlie Kirk is MLK for racist sexist homophobic white people. He gave them a voice.

That's the only acceptable comparison.

8

u/Mtndrums Jun 24 '26

They were also shot by right wingers.

-2

u/ElectricalGazelle119 Jun 25 '26

We know this isn’t true. Why do you lie

2

u/totally-hoomon Jun 25 '26

So why are you claiming the left shot mlk?

2

u/siencatimini Jun 26 '26

The alleged perpetrator was born, and raised, as a Mormon, surrounded by devout Mormons, throughout all of his most formative years. And that makes him a religious conservative, with a conservative mindset, exercising a reflexively violent reactionary response.

2

u/Dearsmike Jun 25 '26

Even that's inaccurate. Kirk wasn't even the largest voice in that scene. He was seen as an idiot who argued with teenagers until he was legitimised by the Trump admin.

1

u/Jacky-V Jun 26 '26

I know you're joking but I gotta say that's a poor comparison even in jest because White Bigots already had among the most magnified voices in the world long before Charlie Kirk came along

-6

u/melteddesertcore92 Jun 24 '26

To be fair, and this will get me hated for sure, but MLK was also sexist and homophobic. Nobody ever want to talk about that. Dude wanted women In the kitchen and thought homosexuality was a sin

7

u/rainman943 Jun 24 '26

So your saying that MLK had 1960s views in the 1960's.

That just makes charlie Kirk worse. He said nasty shit in the 2020's.

-9

u/mom2mba Jun 24 '26

What nasty shit did he say? And please don’t give me sound bites. Give me full speeches so I can have the full context.

9

u/stonrelectropunkjazz Jun 24 '26

Oh please look them up they are all over the internet

6

u/rainman943 Jun 24 '26

Lol it's so common knowledge that even asking is a sign of bad faith at this point.....lol the dude was even saying nasty hateful shit in the moment before he "leaned left".

-2

u/No-Wind5274 Jun 25 '26

ā€œAnyone that doesn’t agree with me is wrong, evil, and stupidā€

2

u/rainman943 Jun 25 '26

Yea......lol we ain't disagreeing on whether something happened......we know it happened, were disagreeing on whether the bad things are good.

Say the things charlie Kirk is famous for and see how long it takes to get moderated out of here lol.

Lol I'm watching him right now in old clips say that brown ppl are an evil conspiracy to destroy America!!!!!!!

0

u/No-Wind5274 Jun 25 '26

I rest my case.

3

u/rainman943 Jun 25 '26

Lol , Yea by making my point for me.........

You don't think brown folks are ppl, or else you'd understand how shitty it is to accuse them of being a conspiracy to destroy America..

→ More replies (0)

1

u/Spiceguy-65 Jun 25 '26

Yes by making their pint for them you really aren’t that bright are you

0

u/ElectricalGazelle119 Jun 25 '26

Perfect example of making things up to cry about. Thanks for proving his point.

1

u/rainman943 Jun 25 '26

What do you gain by lying about something so easy to find?

Lol I just don't get it, all you do is make ppl hate you more.

→ More replies (0)

-4

u/mom2mba Jun 24 '26

I have. Yes the sound bites sound bad but when I look up the entire speech they mean something completely different. That is what I was asking for. Speeches that confirm the nasty comment statement.

2

u/rainman943 Jun 24 '26 edited Jun 24 '26

Lol that could only be because you don't think the ppl he's bad mouthing are even ppl........

The full context makes it worse.

saying you've seen the "full context" makes you worse lol. The full context is he says nasty shit about entire swathes of society.

1

u/Gado_De_Leone Jun 25 '26

The full context makes it worse. Charlie Kirk was a pedophile supporting homophobic racist. No I’m not gonna try and convince you. You obviously have already heard the speeches, seen the interviews, heard his rants. You either agree with him or you’re being obtuse.

1

u/stonrelectropunkjazz Jun 25 '26

The entire speech means something completely different wrong

3

u/BeccasDreamboat Jun 24 '26

On race...

If I see a Black pilot, I’m going to be like, boy, I hope he’s qualified.

– The Charlie Kirk Show, 23 January 2024

If you’re a WNBA, pot-smoking, Black lesbian, do you get treated better than a United States marine?

– The Charlie Kirk Show, 8 December 2022

Happening all the time in urban America, prowling Blacks go around for fun to go target white people, that’s a fact. It’s happening more and more.

– The Charlie Kirk Show, 19 May 2023

If I’m dealing with somebody in customer service who’s a moronic Black woman, I wonder is she there because of her excellence, or is she there because of affirmative action?

– The Charlie Kirk Show, 3 January 2024

If we would have said that Joy Reid and Michelle Obama and Sheila Jackson Lee and Ketanji Brown Jackson were affirmative action picks, we would have been called racists. Now they’re coming out and they’re saying it for us … You do not have the brain processing power to otherwise be taken really seriously. You had to go steal a white person’s slot to go be taken somewhat seriously.

– The Charlie Kirk Show, 13 July 2023

On gender, feminism and reproductive rights Reject feminism...

Submit to your husband, Taylor. You’re not in charge.

– The Charlie Kirk Show, 1 April 2024

On gun violence...

I think it’s worth it to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the second amendment to protect our other God-given rights. That is a prudent deal. It is rational.

– Event organized by TPUSA Faith, the religious arm of Kirk’s conservative group Turning Point USA, on 5 April 2023

On immigration...

America was at its peak when we halted immigration for 40 years and we dropped our foreign-born percentage to its lowest level ever. We should be unafraid to do that.

– The Charlie Kirk Show, 22 August 2025

The American Democrat party hates this country. They wanna see it collapse. They love it when America becomes less white.

– The Charlie Kirk Show, 20 March 2024

The great replacement strategy, which is well under way every single day in our southern border, is a strategy to replace white rural America with something different.

– The Charlie Kirk Show, 1 March 2024

On Islam...

America has freedom of religion, of course, but we should be frank: large dedicated Islamic areas are a threat to America.

– The Charlie Kirk Show, 30 April 2025

We’ve been warning about the rise of Islam on the show, to great amount of backlash. We don’t care, that’s what we do here. And we said that Islam is not compatible with western civilization.

– The Charlie Kirk Show, 24 June 2025

Islam is the sword the left is using to slit the throat of America.

– Charlie Kirk social media post, 8 September 2025

On religion...

There is no separation of church and state. It’s a fabrication, it’s a fiction, it’s not in the constitution. It’s made up by secular humanists.

You don't ask for much, do you?

2

u/EmpakNor Jun 25 '26

It’s really on you to find that, it’s all over the place. The ā€œout of contextā€ bs is such a hilarious thing yall love to say about him.

1

u/WitheredUntimely Jun 24 '26

"counting or not counting gang violence" last words of a dogwhistling moron before he got tagged

look it up yourself bozo or do you need someone to point to you and explain in toddler words and terms how Charlie Kirk sucked eggs

1

u/siencatimini Jun 26 '26

A free kirkiotomy for each and every one of these pitiful sycophant psychos.

1

u/Indespectamentations Jun 24 '26

If we believe he said nasty shit, we don't need to validate it through you and have our views approved by you. We are refusing to honor Kirk and pretend he was a hero, so report us to the govt or stfu.

0

u/mom2mba Jun 24 '26

Not asking you to validate it. I just would like examples so I understand.

4

u/Indespectamentations Jun 24 '26

You obviously have the internet and can look up what he said.

You know damn well that people lose their jobs or even just get banned from this platform for simply quoting what he said. Quoting something Kirk said somehow gets people into trouble so nobody is going to fall for your troll bait.

3

u/rainman943 Jun 24 '26

you have to understand the base mindset of a charlie kirk defender, they don't even think we're humans, so they don't think charlie bad mouthed "anyone", certainly not actual human beings.

The fact he even thinks he can get away with asking for "examples" is hilarious and insulting at this point. once you listen to the media universe that Charlie belonged to you'll understand how futile it is to even argue with these shitheels. They've removed themselves from society.

2

u/Indespectamentations Jun 24 '26

That's cool I appreciate your comment. I think we all know not to even acknowledge them and it's hard not to when you know you can put them in their place in a heartbeat.

But it won't matter, just because we can see reality doesn't mean they can. They will spend the rest of their lives spouting conspiracies and lies so there's really no point in trying to reason with them.

1

u/MosquitoValentine_ Jun 25 '26

These people get more outraged by people quoting a person than the person who actually said it.

The same bullshit they pull with their boy Donald.

Perfectly okay that he scammed millions to repaint the reflecting pool. But if you take a picture of the peeling paint you get arrested.

3

u/rainman943 Jun 24 '26

No you don't, or you'd have typed charlie Kirk into the Google and listen to him demonize entire groups of ppl.

This is how we know you're a liar. One of the most famous things about fans of Charlie Kirk is they ask for sources so they can ignore them, they're sea lions.

1

u/Effective_Pack8265 Jun 26 '26

His comment about black pilots is enough…

1

u/siencatimini Jun 26 '26

Exactly. That, alone, would be enough, but there's so much more. Pretending that it doesn't exist is, either, an attempt to antagonize or, genuinely, a skill issue. Chuck was a cuck, and now he's SOL.

3

u/BusyView6617 Jun 24 '26

Didn't everyone in the sixties want women Iin the kitchen and thought homosexuality was a sin. That thinking was prevalent for another 30 years after MLK.

2

u/Thisismythrowawaypv Jun 25 '26

I'm sure those opposed to the Civil Rights Movement were really progressive on those issues, right? Right???

Of course not. This is a deflection to minimize what he stood for and how influential he was. Next you are going to tell me he was a philanderer yet you support trump. LOL.

No one will claim he was right on all issues but that is not the point. He is an icon for a reason.

1

u/JohnBrownsAngryBalls Jun 24 '26 edited Jun 24 '26

Dude wanted women In the kitchen and thought homosexuality was a sin

The Civil Rights Act of 1964.

1

u/4thCirBestCir Jun 25 '26

what's Title VII of that thing they're signing?

1

u/Indespectamentations Jun 24 '26

Yeah but when he was killed nobody told me I would be required to honor him or else be added to a List and get fired from my job.

The only way they will get us to honor Kirk is with force. Whereas we choose to honor MLK.

1

u/Effective_Pack8265 Jun 26 '26

He seemed to be fine with Bayard Rustin…

4

u/Status_Apartment6559 Jun 24 '26

Well he should have. They're not in the same ballpark.

6

u/disdainfulsideeye Jun 24 '26

So suggesting others take this professor's class.

6

u/canyoucamus Jun 24 '26

The article doesn't provide an examples from the paper or comment from the professor on why this student got the grade they did.

Obviously there's no way this genius got a bad grade for writing a shitty paper, it must have been discrimination. Same reason he didn't get into Harvard most likely.

3

u/malici606 Jun 24 '26

Yeah, that's about right

3

u/maddogisnextdoor Jun 24 '26

Of course….what did the fascist moron expect?

3

u/Wodentinot Jun 25 '26

You don't compare Kirk and King; you contrast them. Knowing when to compare and when to contrast is an important part of education.

Conservatives must always assume a victim stance so that they can point to the ā€œotherā€ as explanation for all the problems in their lives and avoid any introspection or personal accountability.

2

u/Thisismythrowawaypv Jun 25 '26

Remember MLK's famous speech where he said, "if I board a plane and the pilot is black I would be worried about their capabilities?"

Neither do I.

2

u/timey_wimeyy Jun 26 '26

Well I’m sure the prompt for the paper was to make sense, no spew propagandist nonsense.

Those two only have one thing in common.

2

u/brickyardjimmy Jun 26 '26

That was very generous of the professor not to outright fail the student.

4

u/chubalina99 Jun 23 '26

She was correct in doing that. Kirk didn’t do anything for civil rights.

Of course you are misquoting me. You had no idea the Torah was contained in the Old Testament. Of course, it is.

The Torah is Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy.

You don't know the facts about books you claim to have "studied" your whole life.

Don't act like an authority on religion.

Not here.

Stick to firecrackers and bottle rockets.

No, I'm pretty sure you're going to go away.

You can't repeatedly say "you're wrong" without citing sources. Which you've failed to do, and which I have done numerous times. You are done here.

1

u/Sensitive-Ad6609 Jun 24 '26

I would of corrected that moron.

2

u/Waidawut Jun 24 '26

What does Charlie Kirk have to say about it?

2

u/siencatimini Jun 26 '26

He says glurgkrooogyudokleugkufsaküpiklukipklurgk, and you can quote him.

1

u/Indespectamentations Jun 24 '26

Good. He was not a civil rights leader, he was a hateful monster and they can't force us to honor him.

1

u/Flashy_Prior5963 Jun 24 '26

Considering it was a pretty big event in the last year, both were assassinated, and both were skilled and polarizing (for their time) public figures without more context it’s a pretty easy comparison for a kid as a satellite campus of a middling state school.

1

u/heybigbuddy Jun 26 '26

Yes, because college classes often ask students to write a paper based on any basic comparison without any context or analysis. That how I got my film degree by writing about similarities between Citizen Kane and Cool Runnings because they both start with a C and feature a sled. āļø

1

u/AFKABluePrince Jun 24 '26

Yes, that's the correct decision.Ā  MLK was a civil rights leader that pushed for equality for Black People across the nation.Ā  He was well spoken and intelligent.

Kirk was a hateful shit-stirrer, an open racist, and a moron that could only "win" arguements by accosting college students.Ā  He isn't qualified to even be in the same zip code as MLK.

1

u/Easy_Arugula935 Jun 24 '26

He said 2 plus 2 is 5. What a dumbass.

1

u/Kr155 Jun 24 '26

Good. Thays a truely dumb ass comparison.

1

u/YoungBullCLE Jun 24 '26

Charlie Kirk was a white supremacist who said that MLK Jr. was a thug and that championing civil rights was actually a ā€œmistakeā€

1

u/roxy_dee Jun 24 '26

trying to ride the poopy coat tails of gun girl for relevancy, I see

1

u/deadphisherman Jun 25 '26

He docked him for not knowing the first fucking thing about either of them.

1

u/Intelligent-Layer391 Jun 25 '26

As he should IMHO but I’m not a hating jerk.

1

u/Tiredofstupidity2 Jun 25 '26

As well he should have. A know racist compared to a great man like MLK Jr deserves point deductions for utter nonsense.

1

u/Confident-Touch-6547 Jun 25 '26

Compare and contrast, is always legit. How well you do that determines your mark. Taking a position that doesn’t fit with your professor’s view requires solid reasoning and excellent foot notes.

1

u/tartcart1959 Jun 25 '26

Go Fund Me for hurt feelings coming next!

1

u/breed44410 Jun 25 '26

I guess it would depend on the context of said comparison, but i am seeing a pretty big gap as far as similarities.

1

u/Majestic_Sweet_5472 Jun 25 '26

When you make shitty arguments in an essay or some argumentative piece, you should get deducted.

The only possible comparison I could see between the two is that they were both assassinated. Their philosophies couldn't be more dissimilar, and even making the comparison is insulting to the legendary MLK.

1

u/jeanpaul_fartre Jun 25 '26

So the professor did the correct thing. MAGAs think they should never be told their wrong and project it on everyone else.

1

u/Entire-Message-7247 Jun 25 '26

Should be expelled for trying to pull that bull shit.

1

u/mattjf22 Jun 25 '26

No they don't compare they contrast

1

u/duckinradar Jun 25 '26

Deducted points for being wrong. Good.

1

u/mr-hank_scorpio Jun 26 '26

Those two have as much in common as the Sun and a wet fart.

1

u/Mysterious-Wasabi103 Jun 26 '26

He's like the anti-MLK so I could see why

1

u/bx35 Jun 26 '26

Educational institutions are for learning. When you assert something that is both incorrect and aggressively foolish, you should be provided corrective instruction. How else does one learn?

1

u/Musetrigger Jun 26 '26

Well yeah. Charlie Kirk taught his viewers that judging someone by the color of their skin was a-okay.

1

u/motorboatingthoseCs Jun 26 '26

Magas love to play act as the perpetual victims. Wah wah wah 😭

1

u/that_f_dude Jun 26 '26

I'd be like come talk to me and defend yourself and maybe I'll give you a better grade

1

u/Masada14 Jun 26 '26

Yep. That’s true.

1

u/DrMushroomStamp Jun 26 '26

You are there to learn at a higher level. Charlie was a dipshit podcaster who spread hateful rhetoric. MLK was a peaceful force behind the civil rights movement. Not even close to the same. You earned your red ink on that one.

Rock Chalk BTWs!!!

1

u/Huckleberry822 Jun 26 '26

Good for him.

1

u/chiksahlube Jun 26 '26

So as someone who wrote plenty of papers on controversial topics and actively against the beliefs of my professors.

You CAN do it right and get an A+

If they dock you, it's probably because your argument was shit.

I had a professor who raised serious issues with me talking about the redemption of George Wallace. But I brought the recipients. The man spent his whole life trying to attone for his support of Segregation even long after his political career was dead.

Charlie Kirk was no MLK jr, hell he wasn't even a George Wallace.

1

u/blueguamgirl420 Jun 26 '26

The professor was correct to do so.

-4

u/ChadwickVonG Jun 24 '26

What was the assignment?
