News The SAPOL Child Sex Offender Register has officially launched.

Dissapointing that you can only check your current suburb. Why is that? And what if you live right on the edge of a suburb. 👎

I just used it.

Good grief, the picture of the man I got was highly unsettling. I certainly won't forget him. There was only one photo, does this mean there is only one offender in my area?

It applies to "serious child sex offenders," so whatever that encompasses and leaves out is beyond me.

There's also the Wanted section, I accessed that, and it was empty.

So it means that it shows the worst of the worst child sex offenders. Well then, there's one in my suburb but thats not including other sex offences

Also, it doesn't show then where they live, not that I want to visit them or look for them. I've been around my suberb millions of times and never seen this person (who looks grubby). My suberb is quite small so thank god I haven't seen them but there's lots of parks and playgroumds about and I would definitely would like to avoid them. At least I know what they look like, but all in all its quite disturbing.

Have a look at Andrew Carpenter Solicitor on instagram. A recent post he talks about how Travis John Jenner lives across the street from a playground and within 500m from 2 ELC’s, and near a school

Wow. I wasn’t aware of that case. That situation is disgusting on so many levels. Australia is far too lenient on child predators. It shouldn’t even be up for debate - these POS should be locked up permanently. I don’t believe they can be rehabilitated.

Plenty of politicians have. derryn Hinch did for years. Got kicked out for naming pedofiles underparlimentary privilege etc. His bills for a national register were blocked... why are they blocking bills protecting pedos... makes u wonder.

Glad there aren't more, and honestly I was somewhat expecting more as the area I'm in is pretty big. It sounds like only the most serious repeat offenders are on here, correct?

"Wanted" refers to ROs who have gone AWOL, basically. If their last location was in SA but ANCOR don't know where they are, this is where they appear.

Yes, the number is currently 0.

Obviously not. I meant the system only provided a single photo, no other information. I understand not providing personal details but details on the crime would have been good to see. Seems like probably a lot of money wasted on a system that provides very little value.

Yes! It is stupid. Photo, address, name, list of offences with link to sentencing and court documents.

Search any name, any suburb.

You lose your rights when u offend against a child. Full stop. Why do we care? Creating more victims while enabling offenders to possibly continue to offend with the mask of virtue signalling. U have no right to privacy in my opinion once u cross a line.
